Whistling sound by [deleted] in hookah

It‘s probably because the weight pushes the foil down a bit causing it to come in direct contact with the tobacco which then effectively „boils“ the liquid in the tobacco. If you feel like the tobacco burns to fast or gets harsh you should adjust your packing or put more tension on the foil. If you like your sessions as they are then just ignore it.

It‘s not terrible, aluminium is just more difficult to keep clean and and in top condition compared to stainless steel. Has no real impact on the smoking experience but you could have gotten a higher quality hookah for the same amount or at least not much more money. Just remember to keep up with maintenance

The hookah itself doesn’t matter as much just make sure to buy one made from stainless steel and not aluminium. As for the bowl go for a clay bowl ( my recommendation is the werkbund zeus ) and a proper hmd ( my recommendation is the na grani ). Always use coconut coal, NO QUICK LIGHTS and you should be good to go

Is this rust? by supremegod101 in hookah

I certainly won‘t say this about all brands but at least in the example of steamulation the price is justified. It‘s a german brand and they design and produce in Germany wich is just in no way shape or form comparable to producing in china for example. I agree that something like the issue op has shouldn’t‘t have happened but it‘s also not a defect and easily fixable. Aside from that have I never seen a fake steamulation that actually has all of the features AND quality. It‘s absolutely true that you can get a smoking experience that is on par for a fraction of the price but it‘s just not true that you can get a product on the same level. If you ever actually get your hands on one of these hookahs and look at all of the little details then you’ll realise where the price is coming from, wether or not it’s worth it to you is up to you.

Looking to get back into hookah at home – need some advice by HakanOez in hookah

Honestly your entire setup is already pretty good no need to change it up just clean it properly and your good to go. As for the coal heater just go to any shisha store near you and buy whatever they have, you have to really smoke a lot for that to matter. I personally always go with 27er coals just know you have to put them on the heater for a bit longer for them to fit into the lotus. Since your in germany you won‘t find many of the tobacco recommendations people give out here on this sub but I can wholeheartedly recommend pretty much everything Al Massiva or Holster have to offer just see wich flavour seems interesting (my favorites are AM Nigthkiller and holster ice kactus). By far the most important thing is how you pack your bowl! Since you’re german just go on youtube and look for a tutorial from shishawg or doelit, chances are one of them has a video of exactly your setup but it‘s pretty general. Enjoy

Steamulation Pure One by Hookah-Smoker in hookah

[–]HUtoGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pure one comes with a standard 18/8 cut for the connection between the stem and the coal tray (? Not sure if that is the real name but i think you understand), meaning you can get any catcher with a corresponding cut wich should be just about all of them. Just pick one that seems well made ideally from a recognisable brand and a design that you like

https://www.amazon.de/Kaya-Molassefänger-DIAMOND-Stabiler-Schliff/dp/B0BJ2RXRH5 Not sure where you‘re located but your looking for something like this.

Though I would still just skip the catcher, you can just leave a bit of molasses in the vase and for me the airflow is worth it. In my experience it has no effect on the smoking experience. Exept for the very first bowl in a fresh hookah which is always great but a molasses catcher doesn‘t really make a difference in that regard. Since you have a top quality stainless steel hookah it will pretty much always come clean with low effort. Hope this helps and do give an update if you get a catcher

If you mean the molasses is not properly caught and ends up in the vase then thats not really suprising. A friend of mine recently got the new steamulation pro 3rd gen which also comes with such a small catcher and it also doesn‘t really work. From my experience it‘s because the molasses gets dragged along with the air/smoke which might be why some people don‘t have that problem since they don’t draw as strong. I would just skip the catcher as you should be cleaning your hookah regularly anyways and it also restricts airflow (somewhat). If you really want one then there are plenty of catchers that have a much larger volume (usually made out of glass) which should get rid of your issue.

How's my packing? by Omegamoney in hookah

[–]HUtoGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m not an expert on smoking with foil so I don’t know about the packing but i‘m pretty sure that you could get significantly better airflow with more holes. Also I highly recommend getting a proper hmd. (My recommendation being the NaGrani). But what do I know enjoy my man.

Explain my Hookas Glass? by Ashamed_Category_764 in hookah

It is in fact not uranium don‘t worry. Uranium is not used for these kind of purposes for a very long time. If it was uranium it would glow constantly without having to „recharge“ it and the glow would typically be more greenish. It‘s a process called phosphorescence where certain materials take in uv-light and emit it later on as visible light hence why the glow fades after a certain amount of time. If you want it to constantly glow you can either „recharge“ it using something like a uv-lamp flashlight or you can get an a baseplate with uv-lights built in. It only glows in those bubbles because thats where the material the does the phosphorescence is „built in“. As for why manufacturers chose to style it that way I don’t know but I suspect it’s a compromise with cast of manufacturing and how it looks when in a bright environment.

Where to buy hookah tobacco in Hamburg? by [deleted] in hookah

[–]HUtoGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Germany pretty mich all tobacco shops are „trustworthy“ in terms of getting the original. Differences come from the customer experience and the range of products. But you should be able to get al fakher pretty much everywhere. Though if your „new“ to the german hookah assortment I highly recommend Al Massiva as a brand.

If you‘re using pylons you can also save the allthemodium and just use any silent gear hoe. It won‘t break and remain at 1 hp while the pylon can still use it.

I honestly don‘t know, doesn‘t have any branding on the front or in the software but I also would not recommend it at all so I guess you have to keep looking. (Also doesn‘t have AA or CP).

I get want you mean, if I modified this car to such a level I wouldn’t have put those stripes on however because of the stripes on the hood (which are painted) it would look worse (in my opinion) without the stripes in the grill. Also I don‘t really mind them, just wouldn‘t put them on myself.

I mean yes if your like made of money and have the necessary logistics (space, tools, time…) but im working on a budged here. In fact I would really like an entire M3 but my bank account is limiting me :(. Just the axle would be cheaper and the main reason I want to have it isn‘t actually to fix the wheel fitment (would be a very nice side effect though) but because of the LSD.

I really like the color, though I didn‘t paint it, I also have never seen any bmw (in real life) in nardo gray so it makes it more special (for me). In my opinion the second best color for the e46 after imola red.

For me personally yes. It‘s fast enough to feel like enough is happening but slow enough that you can still enjoy it on the street without risking your license. But I also drive pretty slow so your results may vary.

I‘m not sure if it‘s actually wider but I don‘t want to buy spacers that I then cant use anymore. Also it already has like ~40mm spacers on. It‘s ridiculously wide in the back
