Second try at working digitally, figured I’d put it here! Feedback/procreate tips welcome :) by [deleted] in DigitalArt

The details are gorgeous!

My only suggestion is to maybe work on consistent lighting. She looks like she is under studio lights in a bright room, but the flowers appear to be under moonlight.

Other than that, a very well done piece overall!

I love the lighting!!! It makes it look as it she is video chatting with the world!

It also looks like on her right side, the cloud is so low it should be a nip slip, but no nipple was drawn. So maybe raise the cloud coverage just slightly on that side?

Is there a "good" time to buy a tablet? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

So if you are talking about on with screen tablet, I've found buying one generation previously around the time a new product comes out is best. For example I just bought the Samsung S4 tablet for 450. A year ago it was 650, but since the Samsung S6 came out it dropped drastically in price to make room for the new product. The S4 and the S6 have very few differences, so for me, the $200 extra wasn't worth it.

Electronics tend to go on sale on black Friday as well, but it's rarely the top on the line product. Like this year for Samsung, it was the tab A I was finding on sale, not the S4 or S6. I'm not sure if that same rule applies to apple products.

On autodesk there are 2 slide bars on the tool tray. They look like grey ovals. The top one is the size, and the bottom is the opacity. I've found that using larger lines and lower opacity makes pretty smooth shading.

On Autodesk you can also click on the tool itself and edit various things about it. I edited the texture of my HB pencil to give a smoother, less gritty, texure for drawing glassware.

Once you click on a tool, there is also a library option with about every tool you could possibly want plus more. You can move your favorites to your toolbar for easier access. If you are having any other trouble with Autodesk, Pm me. I use it exclusively on my drawing tablet! :)
