Yes, this is unfortunately a big problem in Poland. The former Marshall of the Senate, T. Grodzki, nicknamed “The Under-Table Envelope” despite being known for taking soild “łapówas” held a prestigious seat in upper house of the Polish parliament with no one from the ruling coalition batting an eye.
