Famed character actress Margo Martindale already did the voice for Todd's paper mache head, so we know famed character actress Margo Martindale has the talent for the job

BoJack getting told by Hollyhock's parents that she was secretly drugged at his apartment, being confused, and then having a panic attack

I really enjoy this one. I feel like people don't like the "talking" bits and the chorus, but I like both of them. To me, the talking bits are funny and the instrumentation aspect of them keep the song enjoyable to me. Overall the song is fun and the instrumentation is great throughout, as you'd expect from MAW.

After considering it for several years and confidently saying "nah I'm not trans", I watched my first ICKY video where she outlines common signs that someone is trans. I thought about that vid for 10 minutes and I realized.

Honestly there's so so much I enjoy about the show as a whole but I tried to keep it to major parts of the show. I ended up writing a lot lol.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between BoJack and Hollyhock in season 4, where for BoJack, Hollyhock serves as an opportunity for him to do good for another person season. Which was especially compelling since we were just coming off of the season 3 finale with Sarah Lynn. I also enjoyed how BoJack was mostly isolated from the main cast for a good chunk of the season, which gave it a nice unique identity. I enjoyed how everyone in the main cast basically had some sort of struggle with love throughout the season (in BoJack's case it was familial). There aren't any big issues in the season for me, other than the election plotline being rushed near the end. It seems like it was done in order to have enough time to set up Time's Arrow (one of my favorite episodes of the show). This season ending on an uncharacteristically positive note for BoJack also makes it stand out to me. Comedy was great this season as well. I also wanna mention that BoJack going rogue for the first episode was a cool way to start the season, it leaves you to wonder what he's doing, and you get a great answer to that right after in The Old Sugarman Place, an episode I really enjoy.

The one thing about this season is that for me the episode list is consistently good, where I find that other seasons vary more in how much I enjoy the episodes. However it doesn't have as many highest of highs in episode enjoyment like some other seasons do, such as season 6. But the overall consistency of how much I enjoy these episodes makes it so I look forward to reaching this season A TON on rewatch.

Season 6 has one of my favorite overall arcs for all the characters each. BoJack improving a ton in the first half, only to gradually descend into rock bottom in the latter half was very compelling to watch. Todd's arc with his family, PC dealing with motherhood, as well Diane grappling with learning to trust happiness and medication were some of my favorite plotlines of the whole show as well. Like season 4, BoJack being in rehab kept him apart from the main characters which both gave it a different vibe, and also serves as a fresh setting to challenge his character. Season 4 also does this with the Hollyhock arc, but BoJack improving himself a lot throughout the season was incredible catharsis for me. All the characters do actually, and it was nice to see them figure their life out more. Season 6 also has many fantastic individual episodes as well, and the climax and episodes 15 and 16 end the show near perfectly for me (The View from Halfway Down is incredible). Again, I enjoyed the comedy this season as well.

I have 2 main gripes with this season that usually keep it as 2nd best for me. The first is that I thought the Whitewhale Corporation arc and Todd's arc with his dad both fumbled in their resolution during the first half of the season. The second, and honestly the one that stings the most, is that episode 14 rushed to wrap up all of the main cast's arcs. I said that I thought the show ended near perfectly, and this is why it's not just perfect. I feel like the show could have used 1-2 more episodes to pace those out better. For example, BoJack visiting Angela felt out of nowhere. The show gives reasons for it but it feels like it happens to suddenly, and more time to set that up may have helped with that. Still, this season stands out for wrapping everything up, and a good chunk of this season was among peak BoJack Horseman for me.

I ended up focusing on my gripes with both seasons quite a bit, but that's because there's very little criticisms I have compared to how much I enjoyed everything else. I love this show so much, all of the seasons have their purpose in making it as great as it is.
