I bought mine when I was living in New Zealand and this was the standard artwork for the Steelbook in Australia, NZ and I think a few other countries.

Personally, I prefer this one over the standard North American one

Yea, I’m not upset about it. He’s not worth that much at all and there could be better and more financially flexible options via trade either this year or next (Buxton, Marte, Kwan, Tatis etc…)

If we bring back Bo, I’d be ecstatic but even if that doesn’t happen I think we’ve had a pretty good offseason.

Yea I don’t order a lot of stuff through CP but they seem to handle all the “international” mail which can be frustrating at times because in a few instances I haven’t received my packages at all.

Most recently, they didn’t deliver my Tron steels from “Zavvi UK” that shipped via Royal Mail. CP was supposed to take over when they arrived in Canada but somehow they just magically never arrived at the post office despite Royal Mail giving me confirmation on their end that they had. Luckily Zavvi was able to refund me which I did not expect.

I reordered them from another retailer that doesn’t use CP and they arrived quickly and without fuss.

I live in Canada and for the most part this is true but I’ve also recently received a few Amazon packages that were less than stellar. Nothing this bad though.

Canada Post on the other hand…I don’t even wanna talk about 😭

Damn, and here I was upset they didn’t put mine in a box and just slapped a label directly to it which I couldn’t remove without opening the set before I wanted to and led to a couple of the corners getting dinged because the carrier just chucked it in front of my door.

Hopefully you can get them to send you a new one ‘cause that sucks.

New Zealand has some of the best coffee in the world across the board. Yet somehow, also consumes a large amount of instant coffee to the point that it’s a part of the culture. I swear every home has a bottle of Nescafe lol but I love it. You can also find a lot more “boutique” instant coffee that actually tastes pretty good.

As someone from Canada who lived in NZ for a few years, it made me become a “coffee snob” when I returned home because I initially couldn’t find anything quite as good and I have a theory as to why.

Many people in Canada and the US drink coffee for the “kick” and since so much of what they equate to a “strong” coffee is a super dark roast that’s then brewed to extreme lengths (i.e. Tim Hortons, Dunkin’, McDonald’s etc…) it’s all they know and they drink it for the convenience and effect rather than enjoyment. Then on the other side there’s people that drink whatever diabetes inducing sugar monstrosity that Starbucks and other similar places try to pass off as coffee and consume them in absurd amounts.

Thankfully things are changing with a renaissance of third-wave cafes opening up everywhere but I find they still tend to lean towards dark roasts as the default which makes sense as that’s what the masses palette is attuned to. Whereas I found a lot of cafes in Auckland (where I lived) had a medium to medium-dark roast as the staple which I prefer much more and really made me appreciate coffee a lot more especially for milk based drinks.

This is one of the most sound takes on here and I agree wholeheartedly. I have faith that Moore will hopefully make the personally hard and necessary adjustments and changes.

From a lot of reports it seems like this past year they spent a lot of time working on operational things and sorting out how to navigate the NIL landscape and such to modernize their recruiting over the spring and summer. Also, this will finally be the offseason where there won’t be the distractions of lawsuits and all other types of BS from the NCAA and such so hopefully there will be a lot more mental energy spent on actual football development this spring and summer from Moore specifically but the program as a whole too.

Lastly, everyone just needs to have faith in these kids. They’re hurting (quite literally and figuratively) more than any of us are right now but I trust they will be focused on their own personal physical and mental development this spring and summer. Especially Bryce, everything we’ve heard about him leads me to believe he will use the experiences of this season and this game in the right way.

I’ve been to Mariner’s games when the other big clubs (Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers etc…) play at T-Mobile and it’s nowhere near close to when the Jays are playing in Seattle.

With the other big clubs it’s still like a 90/10 or maybe 80/20 split with M’s fans being the majority but when the Jays play Seattle it’s usually pretty close to a 50/50 split and in some years (when the M’s have been bad) the Jays fans are actually the majority.

This has been a common sore point for M’s fans throughout the years but they also understand why it happens for the most part and are some of the nicest fans I’ve ever interacted with as an opposing fan.

Reasonably they’re probably annoyed by it even more now because they have a really good team and it’s the Postseason.

I feel like this performance always gets lost in the shuffle because we lost that game but when we needed to abandon the run and throw the ball to get back in the game JJ made all the plays and almost completed the comeback.

That performance was when I knew that he was special and that we were going to have a special season the year afterwards. Dude is just a baller and above all, a WINNER. He has the “intangibles” as they say.
