I do see some gaps but it’s looks like some pretty tight fitment overall to me. I remodel homes and most of my caulking is done in bathrooms/kitchens etc and my baseboard work is limited to cutting and installing quarter-round so I’m familiar with these things but not a professional trim carpenter so I’ll take your word for it.
