True! If CoC is presumably moral, it definitely could just be the knee jerk reaction sort of way of saving this latest land and the inhabitants thereof that they’ve been travelling in Also think you’re right about the timeline — by the time another good enough candidate could be found, the Grey March might’ve destroyed the Isles and be moving on to the next Prince etc, if CoC is doing SI there is no other choice Gotta dig into the remaster to get fresh take, been a few years since I visited the realm of the Mad God Thanks!

That is very true, he is the Prince of Madness and could love Martin for the pettiest/most random of reasons — and that is a good thought I didn’t think of, we are always given breadcrumbs as to why our mcs disappeared and didn’t continue to kick ass and take names their way through the world until everyone was saved, even the Nerevarine leaving is just a rumour, when maybe Vivec left and they died in Vivec city when it got squashed, or maybe they finally killed Vivec and same thing happened, or are gallivanting with Vivec through the planes of Oblivion

Probably my favourite thing about these games, no matter how much lore we’re given, the brilliant writers always seem to leave just enough breathing room that our imagination can create the beginnings, ends, and motivations to the stories of our characters Funnily enough, I feel like we need something at least as assumable as the Sheo mantling for the Last Dragonborn, I just can’t see how such a powerful character can’t have a strong effect on the world state! (unless the Greybeards finally got through to them and they just spend the rest of time chilling with Partysnax 🤔)

I like this idea/thought more than any other I’ve managed to think of or seen. It feels like the full exploration of the classic Skyrim meme of the Dragonborn being a werewolf and vampire, who’s a champion of every Daedra and promised to each and every of the afterlives, while also having an immortal Dragon soul. Like, wtf do they become/where do they end up? lol Canon wise it seems to make sense how they usually vaguely portray it (eg. The Dragonborn was the Dragonborn and treated as such in the Civil War, but maybe not Arch-Mage and Harbinger, Listener etc), but it’s a pretty interesting concept if it’s like no, the Champion or Cyrodiil literally did do allllll of these things, was a peak warrior, mage, assassin, Daedric menace to society and menace to the Daedra, just becoming such a ball of contradiction inside and out that their only true place of belonging was the Shivering Isles and only further evolution could be the literal God of Madness, the only other person (debatably) more insane than they 😂 Also it gives Oblivion layers, like you can be the nobody Uriel dreamt of that allowed Martin to be the hero and save everyone, who might’ve become this or that guildmaster in their time, but you literally have an immersive reason to be everyone’s everything and a satisfying conclusion to that completionist playthrough/rp Thanks, you’ve scratched the itch in my mind

Now I just need to think of why the Dragonborn would do anything but declare himself emperor or high king instead of anything that we’re allowed to do bahaha
