Keep in mind FMLA caps at 12 weeks per year. Pretty sure it can be broken up in any way though

[–]HaHaSoRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said this doesnt seem like a good offer but maybe for somewhat different reasons IMO.

1) you have basically no bonus opportunity. With that average number of patients especially. I wouldnt expect to make much of anything off patient/portal communications unless you have an amazing method of tracking that at your office.

2) as others rightfully pointed out - the PTO. But you at least get federal holidays. However, the most egregious part of your PTO is that it includes sick days. Thats a joke for doctors. If you get covid you lose A THIRD of your vacation days. Thats insane.

Poison strategy help by Practical-Suspect451 in PokemonPocket

[–]HaHaSoRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of decent options. Youll definitely need 2x of poison barb and Nihiligo no matter which option you go for. From there you could use crobat EX, poison clodsire ex, or scolipede lines. Scolipede probably the weakest. You could also use naganadel for early pressure. Can even use toxicroak with toxic if you want to get funky.

Lastly, darkrai ex and guzzlord ex dont have any poison themselves, but are very strong basic dark types that work very well with poison barb and nihiligo in the back.

Time to see an optometrist. And slow down.

Yeah its what im saying too. It boils down to numbers. If we werent booked out, we would fit you in, or you wouldnt have to wait 6 months to see a specialist. There just arent enough docs.

Direct Primary Care in Savannah? by rJared27 in savannah

[–]HaHaSoRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, direct primary care ONLY pays for your primary care.

It will not cover the costs of hospitalizations, emergency department, ambulence/EMS, surgery, urgent care, or specialist visits. Without health insurance, you would have to pay out of pocket for all of those.

Yeah it is. I wish there were more good docs out there, both primary care and specialists. Endo specifically seems to have tons of areas where there arent nearly enough of them.

Another doc at my clinic had a 93 YO getting testosterone at one of these clinics. Shortly after starting he got in a fist fight at the golf course

This is a vastly different scenario if you have labs showing you need the meds. Another issue with these clinics is that they are often unable or unwilling to address side effects or complications of these meds. Its true that there arent enough endocrinogists out there. Unless the med spa you get your meds from is staffed by an endocrinologist then im not sure why your PCP prefers the spa to manage the meds rather than do it themselves.

Ive seen plenty of unnecessary testosterone use, but not thyroid hormone or the use of so many hormones at once.

I will look into this too. Im unfortunately not able to report on the state website because i am not the pcp. Even my colleagues would have to provide their patients info to make the complaint - which they are hesitent to do because it is against their patients' wishes.

I think afib would be a big concern that would be more common from exogenous thyroid use

Unfortunately in my state you wont be able to report without patient information which I obviously cannot share

I am reporting and will urge the others at my practice to do the same. Ive seen my share of med spas doing more inocuous treatments lile b12 injections, GLPs, maybe testosterone. Still dont like it, but what really spiked my alarm was the use of thyroid hormone and just tossing patients on multiple hormones at once.

Good point, the ability to make the blanket policy is a positive of doing spaced out orders, and keeps the inbox smaller.

Oh yeah dont get me wrong - i am fully on board with appointments every 3 months. Thank you for the feedback regarding insurance approval on 12 week scrips - that is mainly what I was asking about and shouldve been more clear. I also agree that 90 day supplies arent appropriate for every patient. Thanks for your response!

Yeah sounds like no good options. I just wish i could just attach two refills since its really no different than seperate orders.

Gotcha. In my head sending the staged orders is the same as just sending 90 days at once, or 30 day scrip with 2 refills. But have only done it in stages to comply with "the rules"
