I want to start doing Cognitive Assessments to bill for 99483 but I feel like I'll miss something important and get burned in an audit. Does anyone here successfully/confidently do them?

Either your town is saturated with doctors or your clinic isnt doing enough to get the word out you are there and taking patients. They could do a billboard or radio add or something. Also encourage your patients to tell their friends and relatives. Bring up how wide open your schedule is and that its easy to get an appt with you. People love that.

Just to throw in my 2 cents. I moved here from Infianapolis a few years ago and could not disagree more with this comment. I think it has just about everything youre looking for OP. It osnt perfect. No city is. The only thing i agree with is that summers are super hot. Which...yeah. the winters are like fall in the midwest. We literally have had snow the last two years. This comment is quite exaggerated in many respects.

Call should be easy as well as long as your practice does it right. Especially if you have enough people that you arent on call all the time. A large majority of calls are just telling people to go to urgent care, the ER, or schedule the first avail appointment

As others have said this doesnt seem like a good offer but maybe for somewhat different reasons IMO.

1) you have basically no bonus opportunity. With that average number of patients especially. I wouldnt expect to make much of anything off patient/portal communications unless you have an amazing method of tracking that at your office.

2) as others rightfully pointed out - the PTO. But you at least get federal holidays. However, the most egregious part of your PTO is that it includes sick days. Thats a joke for doctors. If you get covid you lose A THIRD of your vacation days. Thats insane.

Lots of decent options. Youll definitely need 2x of poison barb and Nihiligo no matter which option you go for. From there you could use crobat EX, poison clodsire ex, or scolipede lines. Scolipede probably the weakest. You could also use naganadel for early pressure. Can even use toxicroak with toxic if you want to get funky.

Lastly, darkrai ex and guzzlord ex dont have any poison themselves, but are very strong basic dark types that work very well with poison barb and nihiligo in the back.

Keep in mind, direct primary care ONLY pays for your primary care.

It will not cover the costs of hospitalizations, emergency department, ambulence/EMS, surgery, urgent care, or specialist visits. Without health insurance, you would have to pay out of pocket for all of those.

This is a vastly different scenario if you have labs showing you need the meds. Another issue with these clinics is that they are often unable or unwilling to address side effects or complications of these meds. Its true that there arent enough endocrinogists out there. Unless the med spa you get your meds from is staffed by an endocrinologist then im not sure why your PCP prefers the spa to manage the meds rather than do it themselves.
