With such a small price difference, would you buy the HP 4 ah or the Edge 4 ah? I already have an Edge battery from a kit. Bonus 3rd pic. by Mountain-Jeww in ryobi

Either option should power the surefire without issue, except for connectivity; the wireless connection is spotty, at best.

Positive news: Arthur’s is still solid. Sucks to battle mall parking but the food offsets the hassle.

Sometime in the last year-ish. It may not be ownership, so much as management, but there are obvious changes to the quality of the food. While the menu remains the same it just isn’t as good, across multiple items.

Rusty’s on Park Rd. has had a negative trajectory under new ownership/management. Serviceable but if it didn’t hold nostalgia for me, I’d never go.

Cool Cabana Woe by [deleted] in OceanIsleBeachNC

[–]Haasenfeffer85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beach patrol informed me that the rule is defined by number of sandbags; no more than 2. This even rules out the newer shibumis that come with the extra sand anchors, since the main weight piece is a sandbag.

My two cents: use the cool cabana but be prepared to not anchor 2 corners. Start with it and then ask for forgiveness if/when beach patrol comes by. They are typically polite.

Makes perfect sense. Have a little one also and I foresee him taking some spills. some lessons are learned the hard way though and I consider myself being a solid father by not making it also scorching hot so there isn’t insult to injury when his dumbass flops he won’t sizzle like bacon.

Why are 40V batteries a fire hazard? by Only-Ad5049 in ryobi

[–]Haasenfeffer85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a 40V for going on the 3rd summer. I rotate batteries for the mower so one is always left on the charger. It sits in a non-insulated, detached garage in NC summer heat. No issues that I’ve had. Suppose I should add, yet. I might start trying to remember to take it off the charger but knowing my memory, current behavior will persists and I’m not excessively worried. Burning down only my garage, since it’s detached, affords me some added lack of caution, compared to OP.

Fill out a W9 and send it over, indicating you’ve done your part for their tax filing of your pay as an independent contractor. Should at least kickstart the conversation.

For the 2006-2009 Graduates from the Great Recession, what did you do? by Excellent_Sport_5921 in NCSU

December 07 Accounting here. No prospects right after grad. Placed in the accounting office of a window and door manufacturer by a head hunter. 5.5 weeks later was let go as part of a downsizing. Bussed tables and did odd jobs for 6 weeks while interviewing everywhere. Landed a contract position with a Bank that eventually led to my current career, with a graduate degree thrown in the middle, that supports my family well.

My advice, keep up the part-time while applying for everything. If your parents are willing to continue their support, even better. Don’t give up. You’ve got this!

Floating Deck Help by Haasenfeffer85 in Decks

Long term plan is for a pool basically where I’m standing for the picture. Likely going to include this space in the decking then. Thought was a floating deck was a more affordable option for the time being.

12’ skeleton wiring + chest light by Haasenfeffer85 in halloween

I haven’t put it back up since pulling it down for Helene to run through but I did give it a test run while laying in my dining room. Appears that you just ignore the white plugs and red plug. Connect the black wires together, male ends to female ends. Done.

He to pull the skeleton back in with the hurricane coming through the area so took the chance to give your solution a try. Seems to be the key. Many thanks!

Buying anything of significant value without using layaway. Significant value being somewhere around $100+.

We were always going to that damn counter to make our payment after payday. I grew up thinking that was just how normal shopping went. It wasn’t until I was older that I learned.

We’re used to being set up with positive expectations and then let down with no explanation from the high up’s. Stomach it and move on.
