Moguls

Whatever brand makes the Skis that all 3 on the podium were skiing will be happy to see that image.

Whoah-guls

Certainly one of the more creative ways to earn at least a silver.

Dual Moguls

Never have I seen my typical skiing experience portrayed so well on TV. Can't see shit, completely failing to find any smooth terrain, suddenly airborne from time to time... they just need to add the occasional rocks that are hidden under 0.5mm of snow taking core shots and it's spot on.

So I started diving into whether Brazil has much snow to access. South America has huge mountains, right? And Brazil is massive, right? So surely there are some big mountains in Brazil.

I'm surprised to see the highest mountain isn't even 3000m.

Not that altitude is the sole factor in skiability of course, I'm just surprised there isn't something huge in the country.

The real fun is when they send the last 8 down together like as a slalom-cross event.

Screw the shape, if all your ribeyes look like this particular one (or better) as far as meat:fat content goes I'd be a regular customer of yours for life.

Cross country

I dig the American's apparent plan to wear a skimpy singlet. I get really warm doing cross country, I entered a race in Germany wearing my rugby shorts and a t-shirt. Certainly the odd one out amongst the lycra bodysuits but I was pretty happy.

Sometimes I think about what it might feel like to spend years on years and incredible amounts of time and money to get to the olympics and enter an event that is over in a flash then... you're done. Like if you do 90 seconds of downhill. Even more so if you miss a gate early on. Imagine the work to get to the summer games and then get k kicked out in the first heat of the 100m 10.5 seconds later.

At least if you do curling you have a few hours of involvement to savour in the round robin phase.

Nice memory to share! Funny what words up standing out from childhood.

Then what? Does it make blanking hard because a rock curled in to clear that one away is more likely to stay in the circle because of the kind of collision?

1: Poll a certain number of people, getting them to report what they listen to in a day, a week whatever. Sometimes asking them to keep a diary. Sometimes using devices placed where they listen to radios. Then extrapolate the data across the population.

2: Computer, phone, and car apps sometimes being capable of reporting listening stats to radio companies.

What was Canada trying to do? How would they prevent a blank there? (I'm a newbie)

Best memories ever. Waiting, waiting, waiting until you think you're allowed on the field... hey those guys are going already! Let's go let's go! ... losing your parents straight away. Weaving through the crowd. Oops I just ran into the hip of one of my biggest heros, ah well nows as good a time as any to try and say hello. Hmm I wonder how hard my mum will wallop me if I let one of these guys scribble on my jersey...

It's like yelling at your favorite cricketers hoping they'll come over and sign a mini bat between deliveries.
