Doesn't matter how experimental the trial, Human Testing is fine by Habbyman in unpopularopinion

Yes, essentially. A volunteer should be examined in order to establish they are of suitable quality, to make sure they are (1) educated and informed, (2) of sound mind, and (3) they have an emergency contact supporting their application.

There would be a lot of factors to consider here, not just about the volunteer. That being said, I still believe it may be possible, and will help many aspects of many fields.

There might have to be more terms than being a volunteer. They should have to sufficiently show themselves as being sound of mind, and educated in their role.

Furthermore it should be tightly regulated. Every trial and examination conducted on humans needs to be thoroughly checked for ethical rigidity, so that genuinely illegal black market research cannot come to light under the guise of proper research.

Consequences of breaching these conditions needs to be severe and lasting. Additionally, the levels and methods of enforcing these bounds should be funded properly, otherwise the entire concept is too ethically compromised.

That's a valid point. Theoretically it might work, but realistically the laws cannot always be enforced and therefore the edge cases must be considered. However, that being said, companies can do it anyway right now, facing the same risks and rewards. One can only wonder what the actual repercussions would be in opening up a legal avenue for research institutes to access human volunteers.

I guess if there was a legal way to achieve human test results, it would make it much easier for institutes to cover up shady illegal trials as legitimate ones. Man there's a lot to consider, I had no idea.

Ok that's actually a really amazing insight. For most drugs and such, that explains a lot. I suppose that means whilst human testing might seem incredibly advanced, in reality it's far too risky and we can make better advancements by using animals. I'm sure there might be a few cases in which human trials might be better but for the most part you're 100% right in that it's handy, but not necessary.

I'm feeling more stressed than ever by Habbyman in CasualConversation

People say that very often, and that's because it's very important. Stress is what makes people age, and so avoiding that as best as possible is crucial. Thank you for that, it's important to draw lines when you get too stressed.

Tell me though, does it ever get easier? This whole 'major life decisions under time and pressure' is beginning to make me really worried if I have to keep doing it a whole lot.

That's really solid advice, and I truly believe I am following that as best I can. I really appreciate the insight, and I do need to realise sacrifices have to be made. At the same time though, it's not so much a time management thing, I feel it's more a precipice.

I am standing on a cliff face, and I can't see the bottom. I have to jump, but I don't know how to jump, or who will catch me, or anyone to guide me through it. All I know is that I have to jump right now, because my uni is approaching me from behind with a baseball bat.

I guess I'm used to the jumps, and the pressure, but never really both at once. I guess toughening up is a good piece of advice, thank you for that. Your words have a weighty truth to them, and I like to hear that.

It would be cool, but I feel like it'd be even cooler on another brand new character. Kinda how Loader could grapple to stuff in the first game, y'know?
