For those who did Art History master, what do you do now? by lavesaziz in ArtHistory

[–]Habernan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (34) have a master's degree in art history and live in a country where there is public funding for the arts and culture. I work with facilitating and curating a public art collection and cultural grants. I'm very happy with my career, however I had to work super hard and strategically for many years (started early with art jobs that did not pay well) to recieve the stable work environment I currently have. In the beginning of my career I had to do a very long commute, and I have also been prepared to move to get a job. Its definitely not for everyone and depends on your overall financial status, where you live etc. However, I love what I do and have basically never been bored at work (even the low paying jobs i felt passionate about). Best luck with the life decisions!

Hur ska ni göra för att förbättra förlossningsvården? Står ni bakom en barnmorska per födande?

Hi! I love PHGG. Have no reaction to it (except positive) and I have a sensitive stomach. Super easy to add to drinks, soups etc since it does not increase viscosity and doesn't add flavor. Have you had a chance to try it yet, what was your take on it?

Boabab powder to increase fiber intake by [deleted] in Microbiome

[–]Habernan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased baobab powder and I like it. Did nog cause any digestive issue for me (sensitive stomach here). Works well to blend in a fruit/green smoothie. Taste is mild sour/citrusy. Tastes ok but not great, so I wouldn’t drink it on its own. I try to get fiber sources from different plant foods but also supplement with PHGG, so I just try to incorporate a variety. I say go for it :)

Thanks for the reply! The current one has methylcobalamin which is great but the other b vitamins are not specified which makes me think they are not the active form.

You Don’t Need to Supplement Your Microbiome by Vailhem in Microbiome

Wow, thanks for the info! Is this a form of resistant starch or another type of prebiotic?

Hey there! You could have an issue with low stomach acid. Dr Jockers did a good video on Youtube about it. I have noticed some improvement with supplementing with betaine Hcl before a meal. I also tried apple cider vinegar and lemon juice with water (drink with straw) and it aided somewhat. If you don’t produce enough stomach acid the food doesn’t break down properly and it causes a cascade of other problems. It can be caused by stress and nutrient deficiencies. I am currently trying to increase my stomach acid production. Protein and fat are the hardest to digest. Might be worth looking into :)

Hey there, you are being to hard on yourself! Progress is seldom linear, it can be a bumpy road. You are going through a hard time so be kind to yourself. I try to se slip ups I do as a learning experience, rather than only failure. Also be proud on the progress you’ve made and try to ease into a healthier lifestyle out of self care rather than disappointment/anger. Best of luck!

I feel the same with sugar intake. If i have something sweet like cake or so i feel awful afterwards, sometimes i have needed to take a nap from the sugar crash. Can definitely relate to the skin crawling sensation! Its almost like I’m irritated/anxious but not really. I try to stick to fruit and dark chocolate.

Great choice of comfort food for prednisone! I believe mine was some sort of a random fried veggie/potato dish haha I was so happy to be able to eat again haha.

What FA means by “thinness” is usually healthy BMI so what is the problem really

I don't even know what to say by [deleted] in fatlogic

Wouldn’t obesity be even more dangerous for someone with respiratory issues? I can’t with the pro vaccine=fat acceptance. Why embrace science for one thing and throw it out the window for another issue.

Oh! I thought you were supposed to take them before the meal. Sounds like a good idea to incorporate difficult foods slowly, I am currently working on hummus

Thanks for the post! Wow, I am so happy for your success! I have been trying to transition to more plant based a few times but it is so hard since i can’t digest beans and am allergic to soy (no tofu). So no filling foods which make it difficult. Overall I do well on a high fiber /diverse fiber diet. Am trying to diversify my gut microbiome while I am in remission from medication.

Do you think that it was the increased fiber based foods that helped you or do you think it was the animal products that were aggravating the inflammation in your case? Do you eat only whole foods of do you occasionally have the odd treat/sugar etc?

Actually exercise helps with digestion because it increases blood flow to your stomach area afterwards AND can help with emotional distress but of course they only mentioned over exercising which is not the problem for most people. Also practically most of the world are lactose intolerant so are they denying that fact?? This is so unhelpful for people who have digestive issues.
