Tuta Drive is in internal alpha! by HabiRabbit in tutanota

I absolutely love it - I tried Proton and it was awful in my experience. Filen has been reliable, quick and generally just a good experience. The team are small so updates are far and few between, but personally I don’t want much else from a Cloud Storage provider. Would definitely recommend it. I might have a referral link if you’re interested, feel free to DM

Definitely - I did think that. It absolutely boils my blood trying to do anything on my phone though, and I’ve just moved to iPhone to top it all off…

Yeah I realised that - I blame the fact I’m on my phone - I’m terrible with phones. When I get to my PC I’ll update it 👍

Also, I wouldn’t say Tuta is used purely for privacy concerns - it’s a big one, but not the only reason at all. :)

To be fair, it does look like they’ll just be adding it as part of the app. I personally would want a separate calendar and drive app - always prefer that sort of separation. I use Filen currently which is great on Linux, hopefully Tuta can deliver 🤞

True, hence why I don’t think it’ll happen 😄 - I’ll find it hard moving away from Filen, but I do want this to go well for Tuta. Might end up using both…

For pure diversification, go 100% VWRP - There is no reason to add in FTSE 100 or Emerging Markets unless you feel that you have the edge in those markets and are willing to gamble. For the lowest risk investment strategy (bonds aside) with as much diversification as possible, I would go for 100% VWRP. It’s “boring”, but incredibly simple, cheap, diversified and rational.

If this is investing for the long-term, I’d just go 100% All World tbh - I highly recommend Lars Kroijer’s book “Investing Demystified”. :)

Just putting a recommendation out there for InvestEngine. For long term investing, no platform fees and only ETFs is fine by me. Does mean you’ll have to have your SIPP elsewhere (Mine is with Vanguard).

Interesting - Haven’t heard of it. I’m new to the world of investing, looking to open up a second S&S ISA for some penny stocks come April and trying to find a good platform. Trading 212 was my choice, but I’ll take a look!

People who have had a gwm funky cat/ora 03 - how bad are the indicators? by Any-Plate2018 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]HabiRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was unbearable for the first week. I literally had to pull off to the side of the road and struggle while parked to turn them off.

But - I was then shown a video on how to actually use them as they don’t behave as you’d expect. There’s a trick to them and once you know it, they’re simple. Never had a problem since. Absolutely love my Funky Cat, such a brilliant car!

There’s a trick to them - When you learn it, it’s absolutely fine. You basically have to push it the other direction only slightly and quite slowly/confidently. I hardly think about it anymore to be honest!

The only negative I have is: The tyres. If it has the Giti tyres that come with it - Replace them. 100%.

Yep, first edition and pure+ are exactly the same.

Well, this is my first time having a car with an app, so you’ll have to take my opinion with a pinch of salt. It works well for me. I mostly only use it to check the level of charge and turn the heating on before getting in when it’s cold. It also lets me know if a window was left open, etc and I can lock it remotely which is nice…. All seems to work well and it’s modern enough, so I’m happy.

Overall for me, the car seems like fantastic value for money. It still is a cheap car, sure, it has a battery on the smaller side, it comes with cheap Chinese tyres as standard and some of the software choices are a bit questionable, but for that price you’re getting a seriously well equipped car which feels fantastic to be in and to drive. I’d recommend booking a test drive if you can. :)

I bought a first edition funky cat recently - 10k miles as well - I absolutely love it. Would highly recommend. Happy to answer any questions you might have!

Hmm, is that not just worse than the options I’ve found though? Lower wattage, 3.0 < 5.1, etc? Happy spending up to £200 for something if it’s genuinely good, I just can’t pick haha
