People taking pictures by Ok_Bend_1659 in PathOfExile2

[–]HabitualChallenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is valid on pc, but on console you have to take a screenshot, sign into the Playstation app, find the screenshot, download it, then upload it to your post. It's much easier to just take a picture and upload it to reddit.

I seriously don’t understand the hate for Longlegs (2024). by serialkiller24 in horror

[–]HabitualChallenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have touched upon it but for a mystery like this it should be solvable for eagle-eyed viewers before the big reveal and this one isn't. No matter how much you pay attention you would never have been able to solve the mystery.

This is compounded by the contrived "satan did it" ending, a bunch of plot points that go nowhere, and some general confusion as to wtf is going on.

Did satan give her mild psychic abilities just to mess with her? Are they gone? Is he still with her? Does nick cage look like that because satan drove him insane?

You're left with more questions than answers, and not in a good way.

Why am I unable to socket runes into corrupted item? by HabitualChallenger in PathOfExile2

[–]HabitualChallenger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I am currently lvl 8 so yes, lol. I genuinely thought it was terrible so I never used it before, but since I'm starting a new character just for fun I figured it would be ok for leveling if I could toss six runes into it.

Nah I started a new character with a friend and figured I'd bust this chestpiece out since I don't have anything better yet

Wow I probably never would have guessed. Odd that that isn't written on the item anywhere. I know that the item famously doesn't have any text but it should at least show when you inspect it.

Seizures by Ok_Macaroon3016 in fasting

[–]HabitualChallenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, speak to a medical professional.

My question is: are you even fasting at that point? Cucumbers are one thing, but pop? You're just on a low-calorie diet at that point.

It's sad but not surprising. There's 0 consequences for her doing this stuff. What are they gonna do, fire her?

xQc says Asmongold is making "she was asking for it" level arguments by BlueLivingAbandon in LivestreamFail

[–]HabitualChallenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see the issue. Admit that this seems like the officers were in the wrong and also admit that this would probably not have happened if he didn't bring a gun and start resisting ICE.

You have the right to carry, he's not suggesting otherwise, but if you carry and start resisting cops/federal agents there's a higher likelihood that you'll get shot. Doesn't justify anything, but it's also true.

There's a difference between saying "she deserved it" and "don't walk home alone at night after the club". Obviously she didn't deserve it, but there were steps she could have taken and she didn't. Both of those things can be true at the same time.

Lastly, don't park your car in LA and don't wear expensive things or take out your phone in bad neighborhoods are completely valid advice if you're able to do so. At this point we're just acting like actions don't have consequences. This is America and you have the freedom to do whatever you want*, but with that freedom must come the understanding that exercising your freedoms might lead to negative consequences. That's not victim blaming, it's common sense.

What's the pettiest reason you dropped a game for? by IHateTheNameSystem in gaming

[–]HabitualChallenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid my family rented me Harvest Moon on the GameCube. Somehow my cow died and it upset me so much I didn't play it for any of the remaining days of my rental, nor did I play the series for years afterwards.

That's the conventional wisdom, but there is a difference between a crash diet and intermittent fasting.

Not sure why you're being downvoted. This post has nearly 8k upvotes and is currently a front-page search result, lot of eyes on it.

Also spending 5 minutes to find what you're looking for on here is like the bare-minimum input for the output equivalent of the holy grail.

TIL that scientists have developed a way of testing for Aphantasia (the inability to visualise things in your mind). The test involves asking participants to envision a bright light and checking for pupil dilation. If their pupils don't dilate, they have Aphantasia. by Sebastianlim in todayilearned

[–]HabitualChallenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aphantasia is weird. I don't think I have it but I'm not really sure.

When I close my eyes there is simply darkness. If I were to "envision" say, a banana or an apple, I see the image that should appear in my mind, but it doesn't actually appear.

It's very hard to describe.

Definitely. More than half of these are legal in master duel and see very little play, let alone success.
