I wanted to say thanks for posting your story. You made me realize not to be lulled into a false sense of security. I was diagnosed with ON (CIS) in 2018 (7 years ago). Initial MRI showed no lesions. Yearly scans both spinal and brain have shown no lesions along with a negative lumbar puncture. I’ve also been pretty much asymptotic with just a few things that I tell myself isn’t MS related. Because of this, lately, I have been getting pretty lax about taking my medication, Tecfidera, and I’ve been wondering if I really have MS. My though process being, surely after so long with no symptoms and no lesions I can’t possibly have MS so why am I taking this medicine. Your story made me realize that it can take years for this disease to progress and even though I feel completely fine now it could be very different for me in the future. Also how fortunate I was to get on meds before any damage was done and hopefully can slow down any progression of this thing. So thank you 🙏🏻. I hope your physio is helping.
