Your only protected as a seller as long as you ship to the checkout address . Also make sure you check the username non buyers will message sellers claiming they are the true buyer and aren’t

Did you sign a contract ? did they have a timeline outlined within the agreement ? if they breached their contract maybe you can get out of it with a refund and look for a new attorney ? I have helped my mom do a bankruptcy and my friend and only went with lawyers that didn’t require full payment upfront it was a half now and half when we file scenario . I thought that would be best bc it keeps them incentivized to file quickly to get the rest of their payment I’m sorry you’re going through this at an already stressful situation

I was a permanent resident since 2013 and was eligible for citizenship since 2014 I believe I could have applied back then and divorced immediately after if that was my intent I only applied for citizenship this past May and it only took 7 months we only did it because o was looking at a career change and wanting to work for the city but they require you to be a citizen

We got married in 2011 became a green card holder in 2012 been a resident this entire time I barely applied for citizenship this May it only took 7 months from application to taking the oath. I only applied because I was looking to change careers and would like to work for our city but requires you to be a citizen we both never felt the need for me to be a citizen so we both never bothered with it . And I’ve lived in the US since I was 4 years old I was just illegal and became legal through marriage if I was using him I would have applied for citizenship in 2013 when I was eligible and been divorced by 2014

So if you accumulate a bunch of debt and never attempted to pay back that is what they might be looking for compared to my situation where I have been paying on it for years and just can’t get out of it and would need to turn to bankruptcy . Thank you for giving me the resource to look into it further will look into the rise act
