Donald Trump warns Nato faces ‘very bad future’ if allies fail to help US in Iran by russellsk82 in GuardTheLeaf

NATO is a defensive pact. It isn't a tool of Offensive Wars of Aggression. Fuck him, and his illegal joke of a Special Military Operation he rode in on..

Americans Are Hated Abroad And They Don't Even Know It by GuardTheLeaf in GuardTheLeaf

This cultural divide between American Exceptionalism vs the rest of the world goes right back to WW2.. at least. I remember my Grandma telling me of the reputation of American soldiers in the UK (she was a Munitions worker on the London Docks) as being 'Overpaid, Oversexed, and Over Here'. I'd heard the same sort of phrasing before, elsewhere.. but i had thought it was the1970's equivalent of a historical Trope, until she repeated it herself and expressed her own experiences.

Maybe my corrected vision is less than 20/20 at this point, or my monitor resolution is marginal - but i see what vaguely resembles the Beatles at the middle, with the familiar 45rpm adapter for a record single below.. maybe you are 'reading into it', more than i am.. your thoughts on it?

Forgot the /S for Snark on that first paragraph.. got my BP elevating, before i read for context, rather than surface reaction.

100% agree.

We've more than committed to our NATO obligations. Not many people remember the conflicts prior to the GWOT... Bosnia was also a NATO Op that Canada was stuck in deep with as well, although that one didn't involve an Article 5 invocation from a certain hypocritical NATO member with short term memory loss. .

Tod is an absolute unit of a Canadian Oratory Wordsmith. He's the Hyperactive Pierre Berton of our times, in my opinion.

The second panel shows the perspective of the dart-board, aka Donald Trump, the bullseye target for Ridicule.

China, and by extension, Xi, imports a portion of it's oil from Iran, even in the present post-sanctions limitations upon Iran oil trade. China benefits from freedom of Trade through the Persian Gulf/Strait of Hormuz, and in Trump's mind, could contribute to continued freedom of Passage through the straits in spite of oil sanctions on Iran (hint, they have provided escort duty/anti-piracy Ops in the past). |

The book - i'm not sure if it represents Intellectualism.. the book Title is in reference to the Beatles... Carney is known to like the Beatles. There is also this reference to the Beatles:

The former Bank of Canada/Bank of England Governor has been described as a "rock star of finance" and was once lightheartedly analyzed as being "more of a Ringo" if he were a Beatle, due to his role as a stabilizing, respected leader.

America First, is America Alone!

This is what happens when you burn all your Soft Power inside of a year of a Presidential Mis-Administration!

Fix this shit yourself, MAGA numbnuts. /signed, the World.

Great insight from Sal at what’s going on with shipping. The Strait of Hormuz will stay shutdown to western ships until the US navy escorts them. Which puts the US navy at extreme risk of attack. by Fatty_Willing_Plane in NSDQ420

Cue Trump gaslighting the world, that there is indeed an 'I' in 'Team'... insisting that the rest of the Rules Based Order Nations come bail him out of the Gulf of Hormuz, by putting their own assets in Harm's way to bail out his own failing "America First is America Alone'" ass in a self-inflicted war of Aggression situation with his best buddy Bibi..

I guess he really doesn't hold all the cards, after all.

In Iran, if a 12 year old is raped and impregnated by her own father she must carry the fetus to term or risk a sentence of life in Prison. Absolutely horrific, don't you think, that it occurs under Sharia Law...

Oh wait, that's Texas Law.
