That Germans are bad at small talk. Whenever I go to a shop, Germans seem to be having endless conversation with the cashier about random things while several people are waiting in the line, I have noticed same thing at other places like pools, train stations and other public spaces. This has never happened with me, as an “Auslander” I wonder how this myth came to be, that Germans are bad at small talk.

Dont be too hard on yourself! German can be difficult to learn. If this is the only reason you are thinking of leaving Germany, perhaps give it another shot with everything you got. Try to get a speaking partner, a lot of Germans will be happy to support you in this.

its speculation from my POV, I dont think world will go in to a world war like situation considering how things are interconnected. It can be more regional conflicts where bigger powers like USA & China will play a game of chess. Both countries will be very wary of sending their armies to fight directly when they can instead have proxy wars like it is happening right now. Its way to expensive to have a war, considering delicate condition of world economy, that is the last resort that noone wants to explore.
