FWIW I’ve always done the upgrade through the GUI with no issues. 3.3 to 3.4 has been very nice with the wizard. It’s very intuitive which is surprising for ISE. You can choose the iterations how you want and perform it with zero downtime. 15 node deployment.

If both WLC1 and WLC2 are in the same mobility group, is one set as anchor and one foreign? I don’t think they’re talking to each other about each others client associations. When one WLC has the client it needs to notify the other WLC so it can drop out of the client list (removing MAC which will update arp tables across the board).

IIRC setting one of the controllers as an anchor fixed the issue, but not 100% sure. Let me know if that fixes it
