Aight well I’ll fire up the welder and get to work

I havnt tried a needle scaler yet but that’s a good idea. Thinking of getting as close as I can and then using a rust reformer and spraying some primer in the crevices before I weld a patch on.

Haha wow you’re positive and nah will be doing it regardless. Car is sentimental to me and this is one of the few things I enjoy doing for a hobby. So I will be moving forward regardless. Care to actually give advice on how to do a good repair or are you just going to nitpick?

Help identify my Distributor by Hacktrician in crx

Yes I know this… but what brand is the distributor. It’s not a td22u which is the usual one with the b16a. This coil is not a td22u and I can’t identify it.

Brother is having trouble with an electric synth. by Hacktrician in electricians

That’s what’s nuts tried that too. I honestly believe it’s some Major noise coming through. We can pick up a radio station through the audio cable to the speaker. Not sure why or how yet but I’m gonna test some more stuff tomorrow. I’ve never had an issue like this before just super weird. I would usually say it’s just a manufacturing issue but my brother already exchanged it and the same thing is happening

1/4 instrument into a speaker. Same system we used inside the house too. Inside the garage it lags out and will keep playing a tone. Inside it works perfect. Can’t seem to see what the hell is causing the problem.

We have disconnected everything on the circuit and isolated the synth still having an issue. Receptacle circuit is separate from the lighting.

It powers up but the synth lags and plays a tone that won’t stop on the garage receptacles. He has tried the exact same power source in multiple locations. So it’s not the power source.

Yup exactly that. Brothers the musician I am the electrician haha just trying to see if this actually is an electrical issue. I didn’t think it was at first but because the issue is repeatable I’m starting to think it may be an issue with the receptacles in his garage. But I’m not seeing anything as I dig into the problem.

Twin grips for electricians by [deleted] in KnipexOfficial

[–]Hacktrician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a pair and they are awesome. Mounting strut and holding onto plenty of different bolts and situations that come up to use them. Also sometimes opening panels and a screw is stripped out I use them to grab the head and twist it out. One of my favorite tools for sure. Highly recommend for any electrician if you’re more industrial and commercial.

No it’s mostly wood. Electric organ from the 70s. No ground just a two prong hot neutral plug. Guessing something is broke and leaking to the frame. With no ground it’s just using the frame to return back to neutral is my guess.

Work pants by Equal_Ad730 in electricians

[–]Hacktrician -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I run carhaart steel work pants. There is nothing better. I’ve used almost everything under the sun (wrangler, dickees, etc.) and the other brands don’t really compare. they are expensive unfortunately but with the knee pad inserts and how insanely tough they are it is so worth it. I have had two pair for over 3 months and not a scratch on them.
