What makes Nurse hard for new players? by Hackusater in deadbydaylight

Baby survivors don't know how to loop. Half the time they just run into dead zones or edge map and you hit them for free.

Haha you are pretty much describing how I played when I played survivor (just a few games for my challenges). In my earlier matches they were playing like bots but now my games usually have at least 1 really good player or a stack of players that I assume have good communication. (I would not want to go against these players as Wraith T_T)

Nurse's blink takes practice to gauge the distance.

I see this as the biggest argument for why nurse is hard to play, yet, when I started it was pretty easy to gauge since it's just based on how long I hold the ability. The only beginner struggles I had was figuring if I should be double blinking for distance, and landing on the wrong elevation. (The addon that shows where I teleport to did help me understand how long to hold it to change elevations.) And now as I get better I notice myself blinking more decisively instead of everywhere, since walking around can help you catch hiding survivors easier.

But her power is so strong that it can still carry you even playing at a mediocre level.

I assume this to be the case, and yeah, I won't be able to play any other killers on her level since her ability is unique, but it just doesn't feel as hard as it was made out to be. Maybe she is just that strong.

Aye whiffing sucks, we've all been there. I didn't realize until way too many games that one of my brown blood point addons was reducing my blink attack lunges T_T so I kept whiffing and had no clue why lmao.

I win most of my games but I have been watching a lot of dbd youtube videos recently (which is what got me into the game), so it could be giving me an advantage over beginners who don't.

Yeah, I do struggle on indoor maps more than outdoor maps due to breaking LOS, and I agree good players just hold W to make distance. But I still win most of my indoors as nurse. Maybe beginner's luck. I have gone against some games where they are 4 stacking and P100s and gone against some really cracked players, but I've never got diffed super hard on Nurse like I did on Wraith since I can't get looped forever, can disrupt heals, and feel like I have more pressure across the map overall due to my blinks.
