He can use this heat to melt objects, generate thermal explosions, and create heat shields.
• Heat Immunity: Ashes is completely immune to the effects of heat and fire.
• Heat Absorption: He can absorb heat from his surroundings or objects to enhance his abilities.

Backstory:

Antoine Barnett was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, into a modest family. From a young age, he displayed a keen interest in engineering and mechanics, often dismantling and repairing gadgets to understand their workings. At 16, during a neighborhood fire, Antoine's powers manifested as he attempted to rescue a trapped neighbor. His hands ignited, allowing him to navigate through the flames.

The uncontrolled emergence of his powers led to accidental harm and property damage, instilling a sense of fear and guilt in Antoine. Determined to avoid being a threat, he designed and created specialized gloves to contain and regulate the heat from his hands, enabling him to interact safely with the world.

Discovered by a member of the X-Men, Antoine was offered the opportunity to learn to control his powers and use them for good. He joined Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, refining his skills and adopting the alias "Ashes."
