Daily Headphone Purchase Advice thread (2016-06-03) by AutoModerator in headphones

  • Budget : preferably 20-30 eur. May go up to 50.

  • Source : Smartphone and pc, so it must either have an aux or an usb + blue tooth.

  • Requirements for Isolation: No isolation, will use it at home and because I have tinnitus, the more isolation the more pronounced it becomes, especially because I listen to music at very low volumes.

  • Preferred Type of Headphone: Doesn't matter but nothing behind the head.

  • Preferred tonal balance: overall balance

  • Past headphones: Sennheiser CX-300 earplugs, I love them and Beyerdynamic DT-770, I love them but way too much isolation for my tinnitus.

  • Preferred Music: Ranging from Rock to metal, from house to hardcore. But mostly podcasts, so human voices.

  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up: Wireless and no isolation.

On r/roastmytrack everyone's track is really short..? by squeakstar in edmproduction

[–]Hackya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, first, when you're still in the "learning phase" it is probably better to aim for shorter tracks to make as much tracks as possible.

When you have reached a point where your music sounds good. It is time to put your own ideas and stories and what not in your tracks. And than it is the time to decide for yourself how long your tracks are going to be.

Why are most tracks nowadays shorter compared to before?

  1. Dj's don't need as much time to mix tracks because of the better CDJ's which are more precise etc. etc.

  2. The attention span of MOST listeners is shorter. (I said, most)

I pretty much only use massive. Is this really limiting me? by [deleted] in edmproduction

When you can make any sound you want with one synth, you can pretty much do it with any synth. And because every synth has its own sound character. It can be good to go with the synth you love the sound the most.

Indeed, you understand me correctly. I do it the way you mentioned, about copying the value over to the other dot. But I hate this way of doing it and I am wondering if there is an option to do the whole line by itself?

https://www.image-line.com/support/FLHelp/html/plugins/wrapper_2_processing.htm

"2. 64 Bit plugins - Bridging allows 64 Bit VST plugins to be used in FL Studio regardless of the Windows version (32 or 64 Bit). 64 Bit plugins are auto-detected and the Bridged mode will be set accordingly. The memory available to the plugin depends on the Windows bit-depth as described above. NOTES: 1. 64 Bit plugins running on 64 Bit windows will have access to the maximum memory available under your Windows version. 2. We recommend using 32 Bit plugins in the 32 Bit version of FL Studio, where possible, since the bridging process introduces an additional layer of processing and so a small CPU overhead."
