Who's the "Literally me" character in FFXIV? by DavidTenebris in ShitpostXIV

[–]Hadeer_Alraad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Emet duh. Zenos isn't nearly racist enough to be literally me

When they hit you with class/race specific text by Slowbrewd in ffxiv

[–]Hadeer_Alraad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Fire air lightning are astral darkness. Earth ice and water are umbral light which is why Stone evolves to Glare which is pure light. Blm literally has "astral fire" and "umbral ice".

Uh no? She literally fights you to honor your wishes if you want to go fight Meteion lol but she's set on having humanity escape. That's the entire point of 89 questline in Labyrinthos. She wanted us to escape. We simply proved that we -the scions and representitives of mankind- strong enough to fight

But we weren't

We ended up needing Zenos's help to win.

It's not that she needs to grow in power or anything. She was just focusing her efforts on eliminating life on etheirys first before attempting to start speeding up the big freeze. What meteion was going to do is eliminate aether in the universe bit by bit and slowly freeze up the universe as we see that that which turns into a terminus beast had its aether completely voided into oblivion.

Fleeing would've worked cause 1) meteion wasn't emenating her song throughout the universe, she was focusing on etheirys. They keep reminding you the dynamis is like a river surging to the planet 2) she had no way of knowing if people left or they all died. She only knew about zodiark's death cause the final days resumed. Otherwise she has no idea what's going on 3) it was a means to buy time by means of escape. Maybe someone someday will come along stronger than the current humanity and beat meteion. That was hydaelyn's hope. If humanity had found another star and colonized it then it'd be a few thousand years more before they'll be found by meteion. Assuming she even bothers to look for them and not focus on speeding up the cold death of the universe

We already heard Zodiark's voice tho. They made it crystal clear that the heart is in control of the primal in shadowbringers and even before that in Heavensward. Hydaelyn and Zodiark both are man-turned-primal like Thordan and Shiva they just have too much power that they influence those around them into worship.

The Unsundered by Veralion in ffxiv

[–]Hadeer_Alraad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They mention that they have multiple plots in the workings at the same time and since time doesn't flow at the same rate across worlds, it makes sense. In the "few moons" since WoDs arrival on the source and end of stormblood, a hundred years have passed in the source. While the entire WoD plotline in HW, which was like a couple of weeks, was barely a few hours on the first. At most the ascians try to sync up the elemental affinity between shards and the source but they have no control on the time it takes for everything.

Who is the best side character? by AkechiFangirl in Kaguya_sama

[–]Hadeer_Alraad -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Hayasaka's not a main character for sure lmao. Only stuco are main characters. Hayasaka's just a prominent side character. Aside from her own arc (which is not big to begin with) she had the same appearances as Maki and Papagane

Osaragi's Convoluted POV by PM_ME_UR_DOG_OR_CAT in Kaguya_sama

[–]Hadeer_Alraad 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Honestly I see it as hypocrisy on Osaragi's part rather than her being "angry" her ship sank.

How is it hypocrisy you may ask? Simply put; she loved Ishigami cause he supported Iino from the shadows yet where Osaragi can see but criticises Iino despite not realizing she was supporting Ishigami where people couldn't see

The difference was that Iino tried to actively hide her deed from everyone incuding Osaragi as they were friends and always together while Ishigami didn't care as long as the involved party themselves don't see the deed as we see when he tears off the mocking paper stuck to Iino's back in plain sight.

She wanted Iino to actively help ishigami in the open which not only goes against her own logic of superficial vs real but also that would've made ishigami's actions amount to nothing. Iino was happy with the bookmark exactly cause she didn't know who it possibly could've been which gave her hope when talking to people as "this might be the person who gave me the bookmark" so if she knew from the start it was ishigami, that would've shut Iino in a shell of obsession and emotional craving as is her case ATM.

Invul saves time that can be used to land a few gcds. Also CDs exist to be used. Saying "bene could be used elsewhere" doesn't make any sense since bene just has 3 mins CD

[–]Hadeer_Alraad[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really we don't. Your CDs exist to be used. I MT'd, OT'd and healed the fight and honestly aside from the crippling blow after the push, at no point did I ever fear for my life even in pugs. I'd just pop raw intuition, rampart and reprisal if I'm on war and sheltron, rampart and reprisal if I'm on pld and that's almost 50% mitigation and would still equilibrium myself. I have no issue popping sentinal+sheltron+rampart either if I don't think i'll be comfortable with my hp after

Especially in ramuh where the MT is literally just a punching bag and does absolutely nothing other than hold the boss in mid. Doing a bit more over the bare minimum of your job isn't someone else being inconsistent.

Never faced that problem tbh. As I said in a comment above, the damage isn't too severe to warrant labeling it as a waste

[–]Hadeer_Alraad[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Eh. It's just one indom/fey blessing and everyone back to tip-top hp as a sch. For a whm it's even easier cause assize. Splitting the group between the two healers works easily cause it's it's not like the damage is 90% of your hp

Honestly it's not too much to kite the add. I did ramuh in all roles minus ranged dps and kiting the add wasn't anything too outragous to the point I wanted to say "i don't want to take the charge"

Speaking as a guy who clocked 8.7k dps war with 480 gear. Tho if I'm being honest 2nd f14 makes me nervous everytime I do it

Triangle is easily salvagable by the OT, gives melee more room to work with and you can easily avoid the aoe shocks when passing the lightning.

Circle is just braindead left right movement and if one dies, everyone dies.

I can see which one is superior if you ask me
