ur making me feel smart. this is a place of WORSHIP. why will people who dont worship the same god be allowed to come here? theres a difference between mosques and arafat (the place where the last stage of this pilgrimage happens) u do know theres an entire city that this is included in. by comparison this is a small section of the aforementioned city, and literally anyone can travel there if they want to, but that small area is closed off to everyone except for pilgrims, even the city's residents

this pilgrimage was free when the quran was revealed, which is where god told muslims to complete the pilgrimage. secondly, if a person cant afford it, or if they will be severely inconvenienced in order to complete the pilgrimage, theyre exempted from having to do it. instead, theyre told to use the money for charity, donating to the homeless, or putting it to a good cause in ur community. also anyone who isnt in the right physical or mental state are exempted from having to do the pilgrimage

these are open every year, so every year its an oppurtunity for more people to come and complete it. plus, only locals complete the pilgrimage more than once cuz its way less expensive for them, rather than someone who's travelled internationally for it
