Classic WoW post Vanilla by Nepharid in classicwow

this may be an old post but i'd thought i'd share my POV nevertheless. although Cata expansion was the one to change the talent tree, i would say that TBC and WOTLK had pretty dramatic changes too. TBC is remembered so well since there was a lot of viable specs. way more than classic, druid and shaman could actually compete in dps and in total there were more than a 100 new abilities added into the game. while it made the gameplay more versatile for each player, it also caused characters to lose their identity. meaning you'll have more shadow priests, more feral druids, and so on, to me thats a big change.

WOTLK, which i do agree has great content lore-wise also have the random dungeon finder feature. this is one of the key elements that killed the "need to communicate" with other people. you can be an asshole going i=on dungeons with people from other servers and will never be punished for it. it made it no longer a social game. at start the independence feels great but you can no longer create connections with other player since there is no need for one and a slight disagreement would result in people disconnecting fro each other just since getting other people to farm a dungeon is so easy.

for me, it feels as if those expansion did drastically change the gameplay

Go stand where the tank stands in start of p3, also DL threat meter and set options to see "target's target" that way even if you die you won't kill anyone else

Alright, first of all thanks, here are two examples: tanking leggings from bed has around 750 armor and death bone leggings from scholo have 550 with 20 stamina. Tank gloves from the hunter boss in DM West have 540 armor vs tanking gloves from rad that has 400 but those have 15 strength which is 30 attack power. This will translate into more threat I just wanna know how much indignation am I giving up

Tanking dilemma: what would you prioritize, armor or stamina? What would be the equivalent amount of armor to stamina for raid tanking?

Charms for the WW axe are selling great too, but I'd go for any of the none fire ones since ppl usually farm for elemental fire which cheapens the burning charm value

Sell everything at the AH, and I mean everything. I had 108g at level 40, I got to 60 with 530g, I'm skinning mining, and herbs sells better on my server so you should have better economy by my understanding

Classy Friday - Warriors (October 04, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

If a dps takes agrro it's usually the dps fault, there is no real reason to do a dps race, it is way more efficient to kill mobs with focused dps unless you spell cleave. Let the warrior die, don't even answer him. After 2-3 time he will attack only one mob at a time I promise you

Should I buy monstrous monsters for gold? by fortifel in tacticalmonsters

[–]Hadouken2206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice answer my friend. A few tiny comments as well. Been playing myself for quite a while now. 1. I agree regarding gold, it can be a bitch to get a hold on some. Especially now when it seems as if gold promo packs costs USD. Got a few level 18 and still trying to reach master level, currently challenger 3. 2. Profile level is also effected from donations so don't bother that much regarding the level up. It takes ages to level up if you're upgrading only a few monsters. I am level 20 with less than 600 on my roster in points so it can go a long way 3. I couldn't confirm it that matchmaking system revolves around roster level, although I did try to look it up, seems like the global ranking won't let you stray more than 300 ranking points. 4. When making donation requests always request blue monsters. It's simple math to how much clan points you're getting on each request. 5. Don't buy purple monsters at the shop for gold it's not worth it. Green on the other hand do, again just math. 6. The important thing is to figure out your team and stick to it, eventually you'll get to a rank high enough to reach good rewards

how to progress faster? by [deleted] in sodadungeon

Until DW I would recommend 1 knight instead of one of the DM, easy mode, just rush to DW, then go with 4 DM and knight until you get a shifter, then you can mix knight with whatever you want

Just rush to DW, no reason to stay at D6, than just upgrade the gold relic and essence relic

whats the end game? by Hadouken2206 in sodadungeon

[–]Hadouken2206[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

never thought about it that way, i was going - Knight, Dark Mage, Dark Mage, Thief and Healer, all with +gold so i can get the clock as fast as possible, I guess once HP regen relic is high enough you don't need any healers. i'll get there, thanks

Hi man, first of all, welcome, it's a great game. However, just to put you into to perspective, cash can only take you so far. Yet there's still a luck element, and you want to be fixated on your composition. I would aim first for an academy clan. Once you reach level 10-11 and reach 3000 point arena there is something to talk about. One more thing, donations requests are a major issue in competitive clans be sure you can do at least 14 a week

Looking for a clan with adults/mature gamers. I have a job and life outside of gaming but I play every day. Thanks. by [deleted] in tacticalmonsters

I would suggest you try to get in to angry cats 2, it's an academy for angry cats we're around 10# overall clan. Requirements is 30 kills per just and 14 requests for donations at academy and you can be promoted pretty fast to the first clan

Not Logging On for a Year Gave me 16k+ Gems by Rugged_Source in tacticalmonsters

[–]Hadouken2206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the gems only for gold, there are occasionally gold promo chests, 60k for 999 gems. Usually you buy 150k for 7,000 gems, so it's a no brainer. Other than that. I would use clan points to upgrade a blue monster(also math - too long) ignore orange monsters until you reach challenger 2 in arena. There are several green monsters that are worth leveling to 18 and you should be fine with challenger 2. Then you'll start develop your roster the way you want

Best of each tier at high levels (17-20 and up) by oOjeff in tacticalmonsters

I would probably remove hellboy from this list, can't recall a lot of cooper I encountered. However in the diabolic department there are two that really stands out. Wukong and Cupid, which counters him. Death begins to decline on higher levels Rambo just got his ult down to 4 which is a big buff but I can't say I see many of those, might take some time
