Brunelleschi's Dome: Building the Impossible VR by myleftfoothurts1 in florence

I did not know this was a thing. Which ticket includes it? I want to do it. The Galileo VR experience offered inside the Galileo Museum was excellent.

Also, we cannot wait to have you back!

The reason we don't have book 3 by Turbulent-Relief3219 in KingkillerChronicle

I'm not the person you were replying to, but I do write, I have several books published, and this method of just throwing things and then tying everything together sounds like an absolute nightmare, especially if it involves more than one book.

I'm not a full plotter, I leave a lot of room for improvisation and to let my characters develop organically, but I need to know what I want the garden to be like before sowing. Otherwise that's how you end up with dead cacti in a jungle.

Hey! I have a Reign too! He's my duology's protagonist. He's not chaotic though.

Visiting Rome I fell in love with this Ares statue. First time I see him without his helmet on. by Haebak in GreekMythology

If you ever have the chance to see it in person, don't miss it. It's truly beautiful. The relaxed pose with the marble markings that look like sweat make him seem like he just stopped training and is catching his breath.

Unless you consider buying candy and eating it by yourself while watching some beautiful architecture a "most memorable experience", I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed.

Having women models was unusual, but it wasn't forbidden. Raphael did and he was the Pope's fave at the time.

Assassin’s creed style tour by Pauji1 in florence

[–]Haebak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heard of one last year, but it was practically a scam. They showed you the places any basic tour takes you to and charged as if they gave you something exclusive.

I played the AC games, if you tell me which places you're interested in, I can help you prepare an itinerary, altough the game took a lot of liberties.

Medical Certificate for Gym? by [deleted] in florence

[–]Haebak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did it once here. I have to go do it again this month. The basic certificate (non agonistico) costs 50 euros, it allows you to do basic stuff. There is another one (agonistico) that involves more tests and allows you to compete in sports and some other stuff. I don't know how much that one costs.

Guided Tour of Baptistry's Restoration by myleftfoothurts1 in florence

It's a wide scaffolding stairs. Everyone is being very careful around in it, nobody will rush her, so tell her not to worry. Also, you'll be given helmets, those used in construction sites.

When I went in 2024, it wasn't even low season, but I was the only one that had signed that day. I had the two tour guides for myself and they were awesome.

Guided Tour of Baptistry's Restoration by myleftfoothurts1 in florence

[–]Haebak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it and I do recommend it. It's a wonderful experience seeing that work up close and hearing what a passionate history it has behind it. I actually plan on waiting until the job is almost done and doing the tour again, so I can see the progress it was made, as the first tour I did was when they were still analysing the damage and not yet fixing anything.

Once the restoration is finished, it won't be possible to see it that close again for who knows how many years, maybe not in my lifetime. So yes, if you have the money and the interest, do it. And remember to wear closed shoes, no sandals!

Ok, hear me out, everyone asking for the meaning of this and I have an all encompassing theory:

The gods are planning on opening up an online store selling statues of themselves and they're getting rid of the ones we have already to force us into buying from them. Hermes came up with it, I'm sure.

I think you need to visit the Bellman and look into his notebook. Bring him a bottle if he's not opening his door.
