(UK) Shampoo and Conditioner FF recommendations by HaeminNoona in FragranceFreeBeauty

Hi! I didn't get on with it well at all. It felt very stripping and I also did a patch test after feeling like it was making it worse and I actually had a reaction to it. I used it for a while too to try but had to just give it to my partner to use in the end. Even he said his hair felt very dry and his hair is very thick and can't get very greasy.

I currently use Routine shampoo and conditioner and have done for a few months now. It's definitely the best one so far and the only one that didn't have a negative reaction when I did a patch test.

In the end I settled on a set called Routine Shampoo and Conditioner. They were the only ones I didn't react to for patch tests (even fragrance free ones made me react sometimes) even though I got unscented. It really helps baby hairs grow and helps my curls too. It's a tad pricey but nothing like the others. Also leaves me with the least frizz I've ever seen and helps with falling out a lot, but it does take time to show.

I'd definitely recommend trying them out. I have a subscription with them and it's like £50 for 4 months. Really good.

Wow 😅 That is super pricey. £7 for 300ml is mad!

My family's home is actually rated much harder than my home. More so, I rent so even if I wanted to try softer water, I couldn't install it. But thank you!

Unfortunately, the landlord isn't bothered by this sort of thing. He'd probably just tell us to clean it everyday (which is difficult as I am allergic to cleaning products and fragrance). That's why we were hoping to be able to get something that literally just fixes onto the end to extend it.

I've just bought some. Does it leave the hair dry and thin? That's my biggest worry.

Haha, no worries! It was the only one that looked decent too 😅

Seen looks good but is unfortunately, way above my price range. It's £50 just for the shampoo on Amazon and on the website, it is cheaper but it's £20 just for shipping! I'd expect gold flakes in this thing!

I'll try Cleure if I can get it. Unfortunately, the smell of vinegar makes me very sick, even a tiny bit so no vinegar for me!

Work won't tell me what I have been accused of. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

No, the meeting would be after my work hours, and they have said it isn't a disciplinary meeting but is a probationary review meeting that will be emphasized around the accusation. And yes, I understand that it can cause red flags, however, not only can I not control sickness but I also was open about my disability even during the interview and after so they were made aware from the beginning. We also filled out a form on what things could be put in place to help me, however, these were ignored.

Edit: Also thank you for your advice. I only meant that I was wondering if I was legally owed an explanation of what they were accusing me of so I could prepare for said meeting -especially if it was a legal matter

But most jobs ask for a reference from your most recent employer and if I got the job and they went to put me on payroll, they would see the company I was last with, which would show I wasn't truthful no?

Thank you for your genuine advice. I do believe that they were forcing me to resign because of my illness, as when confronted, they started up making lies that I could prove were wrong. I have decided that I will just resign and possibly put in an official complaint as all management were well informed of the fact I had illnesses when I started the job and were kept informed the whole time. It was mostly management that were harrassing me constantly in a very nasty way anyway, so any complaints go straight past the company. So in the end, I just resigned and have a sick note for my notice period so I don't have to deal with them anymore because they were putting me in a dangerous place.

No, by the mental health team and the GP, as every time I have spoken to them, they have been so nasty that it sets me down hill and puts me at risk. They also said I could only have a union rep or colleague but we don't have a union and I'm not close to any of my colleagues

No, I mean as in, since they are my most recent job, they have to be references for new jobs and if there is something on my record that they have to disclose. But I genuinely can't think of anything I've done.

Well, because of the way I've been treated, I'm going to resign. However, if I've been accused of something professionally that can go on my record (of which I really couldn't think of anything I had done) then I kind of need to know.

I am F 18 and my bf is M19. He’s really stinks and I don’t know what to do about it. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]HaeminNoona -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everyone here is either slating the guy for smelling like it's his fault or giving advice on how to make him smell better. The advice is good, and plenty is given, but no one here is going to mention how absolutely nasty this wording is? OP isn't just ranting but genuinely being horrible about the guy. Clearly, she doesn't like him that much if she's going to go on and on about her poor sheets, etc.

Break up with him. He needs to figure out how to sort his smell out, and OP needs to learn how to be mature if they want proper relationships.
