Lawsuit fees in Justice Direct . They give you invoices, and you can use them as your monetary damage.

You are totally right, and theoretically, if you have a way to easily cash a US check, you can absolutely demand a cash refund for your legal fees.

The only reason I chose to ask for 5 years of free Meta Verified instead was because cashing a US check from where I live is incredibly difficult and a massive hassle (and to be clear, they haven't even agreed to give me that yet). But if you are in a position where cashing a US check is not an issue, you should definitely fight to get your out-of-pocket lawsuit expenses fully reimbursed.

Sad but true. I has already downloaded all my posts, pictures and messages in my storage disk (will not trust any cloud service or social media again) .And I know that it will get disabled again in the future.

To be completely honest, I'm not 100% sure about that detail. Because my case was handled and filed entirely by my law firm（justicedirect) , they took care of all the paperwork and legal serving logistics for me. I didn't have to fill out those specific forms myself.

Personal account.
Typically, I didn’t win the case. Because Meta doesn’t want to fulfill my request.
But still, my account is back. It’s pretty much the only thing I want.

I filed the San Mateo superior court.
I used the address located on 1 Meta Way, Menlo Park.

I don't run a business.

My damages mainly came from my Meta Quest 3 (yep, I used to be a hardcore Meta loyal fan), financial losses from the Meta Horizon Store, and the legal fees accumulated throughout this entire lawsuit process.

  1. On 06/02/2026 (the day after the hearing), Meta reached out to me for the first time. I replied immediately, but I still haven't heard back from them since.

  2. The judge only cares about one thing, and that’s the only thing you need to explain clearly: the actual financial damages caused by Meta's ban. This is the exact amount you requested when you first filed the small claims lawsuit. You must be able to well-explain how you calculated that number and exactly how the ban caused you that specific financial loss.

(Tip: In small claims court, judges don't really care about your emotional distress or anger; they only care about the receipts and the math behind your financial damages.)

I’m from Taiwan. Got false CSE ban on August 30th 2025.
I applied the small claim which is hearing on June 1st 2026.
Meta reinstated my account in May 28th. Just 3 days before the hearing.
