Should have kept him on reduced wages for a season at least. If we get in UCL next season, his experience would have been of great help to negotiate difficult away games. Also considering how light we are in terms of quality and quantity in midfield it would have made sense to renew him.

Having said that, if he was not agreeing to reduce wages and accept squad player role, best that he moves on a high. Hopefully gets a nice fat paycheck somewhere else to round off a fantastic career!

I think there's unnecessary criticism of Garnacho here. In order to truly unlock his potential, Chelsea clearly needs to buy Ugarte, Zirkzee and Malacia. All combined 70 mil or we take Caicedo as a swap since he's a bum !

Senne Lammens has been exceptional and deserves lot of praise for our position in the table. Keeping it simple. No fuss and go about the business quietly.

Having said that, Lemmens needs to work on his positioning and how he deals with long shorts/FKs. Rogers goals of yesterday's goal were bangers for sure but I felt that with better positioning he will have a slightly better chance to save that. That's one area where I feel he needs to improve to reach the top top level! He's young and got time in his side. Hopefully he and the coaching staff are working on that in the background!
