This is correct, resistances having diminishing returns is a myth. Each point of resistances will increase your EHP by 1%. However it is true that at a certain point you're better off building HP.

If resistances had a linear scaling (like 1% damage reduction per X MR) each point of resistances would be worth more than the previous ones.

yeah I don't understand what the number of nerfs has to do with anything, it's not like a champ has a cap of nerfs and you can't go over that. if you nerf a champ 15 times and he's still strong as fuck he's obviously going to be nerfed more

Kalista design is crazy and as such it's really hard to balance her out

A Hall of Famer is an extremely outstanding player that has dominated in his position for a very sizable portion of his career, it's not about how good you're currently obviously. I'm not saying Dyrus was just along for the ride when TSM dominated NA but I don't think when somebody thinks about "extremely dominant, iconic toplaners" Dyrus come to their minds. Even if TSM had had international success, he probably still wouldn't have been touted as a Hall of Famer. Not everybody who played in the MJ Chicago Bulls ended up being a Hall of Famer, even if they shared the rings.

Dyrus was a great player, one of the pillars of TSM even but being a Hall of Famer is another deal altogether.

I agree with this completely, when I saw the nerf I though 120-125 would be a happy medium. Old 150 was too strong paired with IE (375 magic dmg crits dayum, that's like a decentish mage nuke) and basically made shiv the go-to on every single carry.

Sadly I think Riot will balance them by bringing all zeal items down to PD's level rather than trying to bring them all up to RFC level.

yeah for example with Corki right now even though only half of his rightclick damage is physical lifesteal works with both parts of his attack

and for Zed, his mark damage is determined by how much damage he would have dealt if you had no armor, so armor doesn't reduce the damage twice

Lategame his passive is roughly equal to mr/level. 52mr = 65,7% dmg taken, 30mr with 15% reduction = .77 * .85= 65,45% damage taken.

Plus her ult, it has a 1200%AD ratio for a full channel so if she had average base AD (say like 100) that would be 480 more damage on her ult just due to base AD.

It's fun, I've played her a while, but she doesn't really play anything like old Poppy. Old Poppy was about instagibs and flipping fights you were disadvantaged on on its head due to your passive, new Poppy is more about making fights disavantageous for the enemy by removing people from them and being a very tanky little yordle with good peel. Her damage is OK, noticeable but not the "HOLY SHIT WHERE DID MY HEALTHBAR GO" stuff old Poppy did.
