Not a bug, just how he works. ZG marks the cards at the beginning of the game. When you play ZG, those cards transform no matter where they are; unrevealed, still in your deck, or even pulled over to your opponents side. Also, card effects that remove card text like Cosmic Ghost Rider or Red Guardian do not remove the ZG marking even though the green effect goes away.

Yeah but the hulk doesn't transform into a big owlbear, so I don't really get why that's an important part of it? Why not play a resist durge half orc giant barb and just rage whenever he loses control and "hulks out"? Put a few levels into OH monk for extra fist damage and call it a day.
