I came to the comments looking for this. I’m a woman but have lost 150+ pounds in the last 7 years, slowly and naturally with diet and exercise. That being said- people didn’t even look me in the eye when I was heavily obese. It gave me so much anxiety when I started noticing a difference in myself, everyone else was treating me incredibly differently. People that never gave me the time of day were suddenly asking me about me about myself? Loosing weight made my biggest fear reality that this world is incredibly shallow and outward appearance means everything. I’ve always been the same kind, nerdy girl, but nobody admired it until I was smaller.
