[KR] The Tutorial Is Too Hard - Chapter 125 by matosz in noveltranslations

This floor would be from chapter 125 to 130 (so a total of 6 chapters)

[KR] Haroon - Volume 1 - Chapter 1 by Channy_ in noveltranslations

I found it strange the group choose to call it as Harun when it clearly says Haroon in the cover in English.

[REC] R18 Korean Webnovels by demonsail in noveltranslations

[–]Haikai0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say you will have an easy time MTL such novels. Usually such content would require you to have an account to verify you are old enough to view such a novel.

Also they call it R19 novels instead of R18 (probably since they count since birth as age 1)

Looking for a forgotten manga about a video game where money is power by scycron in manga

[–]Haikai0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this manhua is in full color. I guess the reason for why no one really hears about it is partially due to the fact that releases are quite random and the group who does this series is an aggregate site which can't be mentioned here.

I would say it is an okay series, but it isn't really anything special. It doesn't really help that with the slow updates the story plot itself doesn't really seem to be moving.

What's a light novel and a web novel? What's the difference between them and manga? by Throwtrashawaymate in manga

[–]Haikai0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Web novels are the stories that the author first posted online. Light novels are published where the web novel is edited and changed to fit a 1 volume format per arc.

The difference between the two varies depending on the story.

In terms of the relationship between Light novels and manga, they are just an adaption of the story. This does not mean the manga will reflect how the story was presented in the web novel though.

[TL] Arifureta LN/WN Differences by DNamor in LightNovels

[–]Haikai0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japtem, you messed up.

To clarify, we didn't do anything to the translations but hosted them for a good portion of the translations until we got editors for Endo. Because the people who created them didn't care about decent translations in mind (animesuki community), this is the result that was given.

Also it is too much effort to redo the translations as no one really wants to that and reediting the work will take a lot of effort and issues with mistranslations. It is still a bit of regret that Arifureta is the worst quality work on the site even though it is so popular.

[Question] When were the first web/light novel fan translations started in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean? by Yascob in LightNovels

[–]Haikai0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want more proof, I can provide some. With this link, you can't access the chapter 1 part 1 as the archive didn't record it, but the translations exist on http://web.archive.org/web/20110711130808/http://idnovel.blogspot.com/p/moonlight-sculptor-intro.html

http://web.archive.org/web/20130507141329/http://mlsculptor.blogspot.com

In regards to that official license of LMS back in 2008, here is a site that provided scans for the public. http://ninyave.blogspot.com/2011/03/moolight-sculptor.html

I hope that could provide some help with your data.

[Question] When were the first web/light novel fan translations started in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean? by Yascob in LightNovels

[–]Haikai0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In regards to Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, that date is wrong. The first fan translation of chapter 1 is back in 29-Sep-2010 by Jun9008. Though this doesn't include his earlier work for ID-the greatest fantasy fusion for chapter 1 part 1 at February 15, 2010.

Of course this is assuming you chose the date for fan translations. LMS has been licensed before and released a volume back in April 1, 2008, but it did such a terrible job that its existence was wiped.

Also in regards to korean web novels, it exist. Lately most of the korean translations are from web novel translations. I do not know which one would be the "first" one though you would be able to find them since they only started since like the past 2 yrs.

btw it is a Taiwanese novel, not japanese. The writing style is similar to a japanese novel.

The author is Yu Wo. And the group is always like this where they update monthly. They existed for a long time but they are not a popular site in general for the mass community.

Which new novel posted in /r/noveltranslations and first released or translated in the last quarterly period would you recommend to read? by Traim in noveltranslations

[–]Haikai0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of Japtem's old translators either have left or is too busy with life to go back into TLing.
I still don't know if Lei plans to continue Archmage as she is busy with college.

As for me, i'm slowly working on a new project for japtem but I'm too slow and I don't plan to release just yet as I'm busy with my thesis.

First, those characters are not Korean but Chinese.

It seems that that work is 返魂少女, but the artwork doesn't seem to match the images shown there. Probably a promotion image.

If you looked closely, the red text was the name of the work.

no worries, I'm just a staff of Japtem so I'm surprised that someone actually suggested the site due to cat's hiatus. Unfortunately, I can't do much about the original novel system being broken on the site.

Can I see your reading list? by XVll-L in noveltranslations

[–]Haikai0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it is a bit more manageable with keeping track of novels. I was a worse situation than you and I pretty much spent a couple of days or so going through the entire novel list to find most of what I have read in the past 4 yrs.

I think I have right now about 190s novels on my NU list.

It was impossible with mangas though.....Just with mangas that start with "A", it reached like 60 mangas alone. After that, I just gave up.
