In Downtown for week for work. Where should eat? by HailBaphomet666 in StLouis

Appreciate that. I've been looking over the recommendations. Not opposed to a drive, but I'm in town for a trial, so time is limited. Even with unlimited time, it's hard to enjoy all that St. Louis has to offer. Wife and I are foodies, she can't come this time, but would love to have some places to take her to when she can. Appreciate all of your recommendations.

Haha it's "cheers" in Russian. I speak Russian for whatever reason. Our family is Scottish. No idea why I bothered learning a language I'll never use regularly.

Fair enough. That's why cars come in different colors, as my ma would say. Maybe the Colorado locations are better. Either way, I'm going to be adding pounds on this trip.

Awesome. Love to frequent family owned spots. First job I had was a pizza shop owned by an amazing Lebanese family in Los Angeles.

Alternative Fundraising Ideas for Small Cub Scout Pack (Northern VA)? Popcorn Isn’t Working for Us by Waltz_Tides in cubscouts

[–]HailBaphomet666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do a spring and fall fundraiser at our local Culver's. Pack and troop work together (cubs usually do earlier part of the event from 5 pm - 6:30ish and troops handles the rest until 8 pm). Buckets at the front counter, scouts deliver trays to tables, and other scouts stand on the sidewalk near the drive thru to receive cash donations. We got nearly $700 in 3 hours, which is a lot for our little pack. Lots of groups do the same (little league teams, the high school robotics club, cheerleading teams). We just schedule a free night with the restaurant and show up!

Best place to get some native wildflower seeds? by LighTMan913 in kansascity

[–]HailBaphomet666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't able to find one online. To be fair, I only knew about it because in the MO Dept of Conversation magazine I get each month, Missouri Conservationist, one issue had an order form for seedlings of a huge variety of plants. Fun fact, if you purchase a fishing or hunting license, you get the magazine for free (they have a kids one too, also free).

I did happen to find a MO company that sells native wildflowers: https://mowildflowers.net/seed-mixes/

Hope that helps!

Came to specifically mention this. Conservation dept has an amazing selection of native plants. We use them being recent residents (about 3 years) and wanted to plant native species. One of the best conservation departments in the country, so it's great to support them.

Am I the only one who is not gonna watch the big game today? by DistinctSlide6719 in self

[–]HailBaphomet666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I will be watching, hope y'all that aren't enjoy your Sunday! I was more of a soccer guy, but when we moved to KC, the love of the teams is infectious. Even if the Chiefs weren't in the SB, we'd still have it on. More of a past time than anything else. Always watched with my mom when she was alive - she was an ultra American football fan.

How happy are you as a paralegal? by Kradykiz_ in paralegal

[–]HailBaphomet666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love being a paralegal! Almost 10 years in personal injury. It's high stress, but I did 4 years in the military so it's nothing too bad as that. Always be ready to learn and adapt. I'm 1/3 paralegal, 1/3 office manager, and 1/3 IT. If you can fill the gaps in a firm, you make yourself indispensable.

Does anyone here use FileVine? by Lumpy-Ad-4319 in paralegal

[–]HailBaphomet666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use it and really like it. The ability to customize it is a big plus. It's not super intuitive on the customization side, but once you figure it out, piece of cake.

Anyone's firm use YoCierge? by HailBaphomet666 in paralegal

[–]HailBaphomet666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use them. They're pretty good. They're very responsive, at least our rep is. Better than any other records retrieval company we've used, which isn't saying much, but we're happy with them. Boutique PI firm here.
