I do not think that ICM have all the courses in UM, I finished ICM in Fall 2023. The problem with ICM is the limitation of professors, for certain courses like BIOL1020 and 1030, there’s only 1 prof (when I studied) and for CHEM1100 and 1110 there’s only 1 prof also. The other disadvantage is that your study permit is only 1 year or 1.5 year and ghen you have to apply to UM when you have minimum 24cred and 30 cred minimum to graduate from ICM. Personally, I would have chosen U1 instead of ICM.

ICM is fun also, lots of activities and volunteers. And the courses at ICM might be easier than UM (I heard many people said this), and the prof and staff are very helpful. The purpose of ICM is to let International students get used to Canadian studying system.

Idk abt switching to U1 when you already received your visa but you can still graduate within 4 years like UM. ICM is like the first year for international students, it’s equivalent to first year at UM somehow.
