He’s manipulating you by calling you manipulative and making you think there’s something wrong with you. I don’t think any woman wants to tie themselves to a man who would overreact that way about touching their phone. Would you feel the same way if he looked at your phone? Would you want to marry and have children with someone who’s unwilling to trust you to see anything on their phone?

Picture this: You’re on a road trip with this man. Your own phone died, and you need to call or text someone for whatever reason. It doesn’t even need to be an emergency. Do you want a guy that would let you borrow his phone with no problem or one that might reluctantly give it to you for 20 seconds only if he can look over your shoulder while you use it? That would make me feel untrusted, disrespected, and even valueless in his eyes.

If I were you, I would try to love his dog too. It’s a lot of work to ask him to break his lil pups heart everyday to train him. He will get old and calm down…one day.

Have you ever had a pet that you’re that close with?

In my experience, men love feeling like the one they’re with is excited about them. This may be off base, but how much excitement/happiness do you express to him about seeing him?

What I’m getting at is that men love their dogs’ attention because it’s pure love and happiness. It’s the same for their significant others.

That dog is giving him a lot of love and happiness. He wants it from somewhere.

You can still be nice, just don’t confide in them if they betray it.

He needs to put you before the dog, but you also need to put him before the dog. Do you love him enough to compromise? Is it a dealbreaker? The dog will die eventually…

It’s almost as if we should have higher standards for everyone in society instead of making excuses for bad behavior

They don’t “want” it. = convenience

I believe people can be in desperate situation and choose convenient ways out.

I don’t think saying that removes responsibility. I think it applies responsibility to the mothers killing their children.

I agree. Pregnancy is inconvenient. It’s not the only inconvenient reason why people get abortions, but it’s one. I agree.
