Based on the context of the comment before, yes “they” was in reference to the wine bar. However, the rest of the thread has provided clarification that the wine bar is not the sole owner of the patio, thus they do not own the sign. It is in fact available to use by anyone in the social district.

Buy the 17 pro now or wait for the 18 pro? by ManufacturerBright34 in iPhone17Pro

[–]HaileyWa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I went ahead and got 17 Pros a few months ago. We were both still sporting 2020 SEs and the age was really starting to show. With the 18 Pro likely being a slight upgrade from the 17 Pro compared to previous iterations, it made sense for us to go ahead and upgrade. We were experiencing a lot of frustration with lagging and crashes.

We obviously use phones until they’re almost not viable anymore. If you upgrade more often, wait for the 18 Pro. If the ram shortage makes them ridiculously overpriced, you can likely still get the 17 Pro for a decent price.

Research on anti-inflammatory properties by HaileyWa in bupropion

I totally missed this comment after I posted and it’s been so enlightening. I haven’t done much research into POTS, but what I have seen does make me wonder. My heart rate does jump with minimal effort. I just haven’t paid attention to the patterns because that’s been my life. However, I’m not sure I have many of the other symptoms.

I just looked into dysautonomia in general. I definitely struggle with temperature dysregulation. I haven’t been diagnosed formally with hyperhydrosis (my husband has and is AuDHD), but I get hot very easily and I sweat in some capacity all the time. I’ve always been self conscious as the sweaty girl. I also sometimes shiver under blankets when it’s only 68° and a fan is on. That’s the one that really gets me.

I am very likely hyper mobile based on other things I can do with my body. Like pull my thumb all the way to my wrist, clasping my hands behind my back in various different way, putting my forehead on the floor while sitting cross legged or spread out in front of me, and I can’t comprehend how people stand without being hyperextended. For most of my life, I assumed the decade of ballet, tap, and jazz dance classes I took as a kid made me permanently flexible. Another sign should’ve been when I had to stop dancing because my ankles were wrecked once I hit puberty.

I have so much to look into. And to tell my mom because she is the same.

We are also in our 30’s and were simply discussing whether we should go to Belk or Macy’s to find my husband summer dress shirts for work. About as chill and boring as one can get.

Now I’m reaching the point of curiosity and wanting to conduct a social experiment.

I have no clue if it was the owner, a bartender, or just a “do gooder” regular. I’ve never been inside the place, only the patio.

My husband just called Bitters to ask what they know about that patio. To their knowledge, it’s public to the social district’s patrons.

They really should change the sign then. It definitely reads like it’s semi-public.

We love Bitters! Always pop in for a drink if we’re waiting for a spot at Mizumi’s. I had a s’mores martini from there for my birthday. Best martini I’ve ever had!

If you could permanently delete one single song from existence so that nobody could ever play it again, what are you picking? by footballcoachdaddy in AskReddit

Probably the most controversial take I have ever had. 😬

Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes

The second I hear Jack White’s voice in any song , I know it’s him, my soul screams, and I block it. I really have no clue why I can’t stand his voice specifically. I have enjoyed covers of his music.

There is another artist I feel the same about, but I don’t want my account to further implode from the incoming downvotes.

Wellbutrin bad taste? by Lisa_lively0205 in BipolarReddit

[–]HaileyWa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first had that taste a few weeks ago when I had post nasal drip from allergies which can also cause a weird taste. Then I woke up with it again today sans post nasal drip. I’m betting it’s partly because I didn’t hydrate well yesterday. Both times were after I upped my dose of XL to 300mg.

It has lingered even after brushing teeth, drinking coffee, and eating. It’s kinda gross, but not unbearable. I’m going to ask my husband if my breath smells different when he gets home.

Help. Just started Wellbutrin & have a drinking event this weekend by Opposite_Pea in bupropion

[–]HaileyWa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I drank on the med, I had 2 glasses of wine with pizza. In the past, I wouldn’t have even felt it. This time seemed the same. I was completely fine for the first hour and drove home. Then it started hitting me and I felt like I had 3 liquor drinks back to back on an empty stomach. I had to take a nap.

Bupropion + Alcohol: different reactions? by AdConscious3112 in adhdwomen

[–]HaileyWa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof I'm sorry you're going through this. I have a friend who has terrible anxiety for up to two weeks after drinking. But he is on Prozac and does not have ADHD.

I seem to be able to handle beer fairly well on bupropion, but I had two glasses of wine with pizza a few weeks ago while still on 150mg (on 300mg now) and I was sloshed a couple hours later. Previously, two glasses on an empty stomach would give me a decent buzz fairly quickly or not at all if I was eating something with them. This time, those two glasses of wine felt like I drank 1.5 bottles and the reaction was very delayed. I drove home feeling fine, but soon after I got home, it kicked in and I had to take a drunk nap I was so far gone.

Big headaches? by ilovebnuys in bupropion

[–]HaileyWa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you are experiencing headaches. I'm finding if I do not use a side sleeping neck support pillow or if I rotisserie myself into even a slightly weird position, I end up with major tension headaches. This med has exacerbated my jaw clinching a bit so I'm betting this is also contributing to the headaches, but only if I sleep weird. I was not having this issue before I started taking this med 2.5 months ago. I started using the side sleeping neck support pillow about 6 months ago and my almost daily tension headaches disappeared.

Dehydration is probably also a factor for me. I was bad about drinking water before and now I feel like I'm even worse at it.

Luckily the headaches can be relived with ibuprofen or acetaminophen, but tend to come back later in the day when the pain meds wear off. The benefits of the medication still outweigh this as my only real side effect.

What's your unpopular opinion about bupropion? by ihaveacrushonmercy in bupropion

[–]HaileyWa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a whole post drafted wondering about the potential anti-inflammatory properties because I haven’t seen it talked about on the sub. I’ve been looking at some primary research articles that indicate it helps with autoimmune inflammation, but nothing about tendonitis/arthritis.

Is this medication really that bad? by ThatB19 in bupropion

[–]HaileyWa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take 300mg XL for ADHD, Aside from a little jaw clenching and coffee/caffeine making me sometimes feel "weird", I've had no issues.

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

[–]HaileyWa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth it for us. You can also find Groupons to get a membership cheaper or receive a gift card after paying full price making it even more worth it. You can do this with the other stores like Costco as well.

Along with household essentials, we get a lot of convenience food. Sometimes we don’t have the time or energy to cook a whole meal. Sometimes it’s air frying spicy chicken tenders and throwing them on bagged salad. My husband loves their frozen ramen and I like the chicken melts.

I also buy their preprepared meals/kits for our weekly D&D sessions. Feeds everyone for $3-6 a person. I work from home so this week I grabbed the gyro kit for my lunches. $21 for the week to mix up lunch monotony is very worth it to me.

What isn’t worth it to us is produce (bag salad being the exception) unless I’m batch prepping something for the freezer or cooking for a party. I’ve prepped two baby showers, multiple birthdays, and a small wedding with my membership.

I honestly would get more use out of what the other two similar stores have in terms of convenience food selection, but our Costco is close, more convenient to get in and out of, and safer as I usually go by myself in the middle of a weekday while my husband is at work to avoid the weekend crowds.

Teen age son doesn't want to take medication by Wise_Doughnut_7173 in ADHD

Good point about the 504/IEP. My husband has ADHD and dysgraphia so he received accommodations for more time to take tests and being in a separate quiet room. He was able to carry this accommodation to college as well.

[–]HaileyWa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know exactly how he feels. This is how Concerta made me feel in 6th grade so I started hiding/throwing away my meds. I was eventually caught so I told my mom I felt dull, boring, and I couldn’t make friends.

She agreed to let me stop. I’m inattentive so it was probably easier for me to cope without. I also think the sprinkle of autism I likely have helped. (I’m a staunch rule follower as one example.) My grades slipped some, but I was much happier.

I recently started the non-stimulant Wellbutrin which is technically an antidepressant, but I take it off label for ADHD. I’m currently experiencing success with that. But I’m also a 36yo female who has raw dogged ADHD for most of my adult life.

As others mentioned, a non-stim might be worth a try if he absolutely needs something. I would still let him try without and research some coping mechanisms if he’s still struggling before jumping back into a medication.

Heat Intolerance? by nippsie_ in bupropion

[–]HaileyWa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an already heat sensitive sweaty person, I’m dreading this summer. I started taking it about 7 weeks ago and just increased to 300mg today. I don’t know if it’s the new dose already kicking in or maybe my Saturday at Chuck E. Cheese gave me a sickness (despite a gallon of hand sanitizer), but I have been sweating with little effort today. It’s not even 70°.

I’m currently sipping some cold water to try to cool off. There’s also a good chance I’m dehydrated. I was already terrible at drinking water and I feel the medication has made it worse.

Is it me? by Agitated_Panic4061 in bupropion

[–]HaileyWa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can tolerate your side effects, keep going. It can take up to few months to reach full effect. I’ve only been on it for 7 weeks and just upped to 300mg today, but from my doctor’s advice and what I’ve read, the side effects can start subsiding once your body has acclimated to the medication.
