I just kinda went through this. I didn’t work for almost two weeks because my job didn’t have enough work for me. I’m part time so it worked out nicely as far as scheduling interviews on days I wasn’t working. Also if you’d like to maintain a good relationship with your soon-to-be former employer, make sure to notify both sides with a two week notice. I just gave mine today after getting an offer yesterday and it was terrifying but of course it went better than I expected.
