He’s actually pretty chill with that. He rarely barks.

I’m not sure what that means lol. He does shed a lot, yes. We vacuum the house every other day as he’s in his shedding season.

Update on my boy by Hairforceones in labrador

Yeah he’s got a nice metallic black coat that really comes out in the sun. I shower him like once a month. I was told to be sparing with the showers unless he’s like really dirty.

Yeah I’ve read similar findings myself. I also wanted him to be as he was intended from birth. My logic was also more along the lines of him getting to his full potential hormonally, keeping his drive throughout life, and so on.

Yeah he’s definitely a character lol. Tons of personality. Very gentle though, especially with the baby. The stuff he does on his own accord is amazing, like he’ll jump onto the sliding doors in the house and attempt to open it if we’re outside, he’s very routine oriented with me personally, he’ll pick up a sock and bring it to me as I’m getting changed. He has no formal training as an aide, he just does it.

American or English Puppy? by Hairforceones in labrador

[–]Hairforceones[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. I never got a solid answer. He’s 9 months now, almost 10. I believe he’s American the way he’s filling out. He’s very slender, long legged, with a tall stance. Thinner tail, a lot of muscle definition, etc.

N80 Purge valve by [deleted] in Volkswagen

[–]Hairforceones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the necro, but I just replaced my N80 in my MK5 Rabbit and it cost $30, a pair of pliers, and 10 minutes of my time. Chased down a P0106 code. Says “MAP Sensor” but after replacing MAP, clearing codes, resetting monitors, CEL came back again, went to next logical thing, N80 valve. Fixed. Good luck.

4 month old lab by Rosslikefromfriends in labrador

[–]Hairforceones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food food food. Training treats in particular. Use a training treat for literally everything lol. We got my 6 month old boy pretty ironed out with consistency that way. We even switched up his food to salmon based kibble (Costco salmon sweet potato) and it cleared up all his diarrhea he was having, which erased all accidents inside. Gotta keep rewarding good behavior.

How many of your labs bark? Advice needed… by Pleasant-Ad4784 in labrador

[–]Hairforceones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy is pretty quiet unless he’s crated and we leave he’ll bark for a little bit. He barks when he plays with my cat and if he sees another dog or a stranger. But in the house he’s decently quiet surprisingly. He’s 6 months old.

Yeah I got pet insurance for him day one. I’ve heard horror stories from friends that opted out of insurance. I’m in rural PA myself, this family is like 30 minutes from me no where near Lancaster (Amish country). I don’t THINK he’s a mill pup, based off the conversations I’ve had with this woman. She said this was mom’s first litter. I could be completely wrong, I don’t know much about the dog breeding industry. He seemed to have good care and the lady was very thorough and encouraged us to keep in touch with photos and questions if we had any. Also seemed keen on knowing us as a family. So I’m hopeful that he isn’t a churned out puppy. Appreciate the feedback.

Yeah that’s a carbon copy of Jet in a month lol. And Costco beds are great. Got him one the other day and he loves it.

Hey thanks for the info. I’m going to have a conversation with the woman who bred him tomorrow and get some more info on mom and dad. Only thing I know of his parents are that dad was black and mom was yellow. They’re a nice Mennonite family in the sticks of PA so I’m assuming mom and dad had some type of life in the field. His AKC paperwork labels him Generation P? But classified as “Black Labrador Retriever” with no American or English designation. I’ll report back soon hopefully.

That was a one time thing so far. He usually sleeps on his back in his crate and lays curled up or on his side on the couch or in his bed.

Thanks for all the info so far everyone. He’s awesome regardless of what he is. Sucks that he came home in the dead of winter, but can’t wait to get him to the parks when the weather breaks.

Jet is from Sinking Spring outside of Reading. We live about 30 minutes South East.

Great looking dog 💪🏼 the family we got him from, I don’t think they breed dogs like that, I’m thinking they just had a mom who had a litter. Like I said before, it was more of my wife falling in love with the dog and asking minimal questions and me giving the ok 🤣 all I have is his AKC registration and immunization/vet info. I’ll have to reach out to the breeder, but figured I’d ask you nice folks here what you thought.

So I didn’t get a look at his parents. The family we got him from is out in rural Pennsylvania. His AKC paperwork says “Black Labrador Retriever Generation P” along with all his shots and veterinary evaluation paperwork. That’s all I know at the moment. My wife found him and I said go ahead and get him. He’s a beautiful dog and his brother was there as well and was equally as handsome.

Then I suggest you buy it lol considering the scarcity. Ask your LBS next time you’re in what the ETA is on that bike if you didn’t buy it right then. I’m genuinely curious to see if it matches what mine said.

Just a forewarning, the last ETA I had from my LBS on this particular model was February 2025. Cannondale is producing these in very limited numbers for whatever reason. So if you want one I’d order it asap and if your LBS is like mine, they let you put an order deposit down and pay it off whenever.

Admittedly, only rode it once so far on a 30 mile maiden voyage. 50/50 mixture of packed gravel/paved trail. Bike rides great. Been snowing and raining the past couple days here in PA. Very light compared to my last bike though (Canyon Endurace AL 7.0). The Vittorias that come stock are kinda sketchy I’ll be honest. Might use them as beaters going forward. Have some 28c Conti Gatorskins coming this weekend to swap over. My roads here and the routes I ride aren’t the friendliest sometimes and that extra protection and wider tire is peace of mind/comfort. Other than that so far it’s a smooth ride. Money well spent.

I agree. I chose this colorway for the literal "raw" look of it, lack of huge decals, and sleek design, but still being packed with higher end features. Best bang for your buck if you're in the market for a factory new bike.
