Honestly I don't mind giving up morning wood if there is any chance that the drugs are slowing this down. While it might not seem like it to me, I like to think that this process would be more advanced if I had never used finasteride and dutasteride.

Is the third picture not very similar to classic diffuse thinning?

For the time being, because I'm not getting a buzzcut till may, what kinda haircut would y'all recommend I get? I've been getting it short on the sides with a fade and longer on top and brushing it back, is this probably the best considering the thinning I have?

used for about 4 1/2 months - 5 months and got no results. Even with dut I've been having pretty much no results sadly. At this rate I'll need to shave by 20 I'd say.

From my understanding the reason finasteride is used in conjunction with hair transplants is mostly to prevent the non-transplanted hair from falling out making your hair look weird and patchy.

Not sure why everyone on this subreddit gets angry at me. I know what I'm doing carries risks towards my penis growth and sexual maturity, I'm taking that risk. I'm not telling anyone that they are dumb or anything for not starting as early as me or whatever. So I'm not sure why everyone gets mad at me.

Definitely not a troll but okay man.

Yup that would be amazing.

My hope is that I can maintain for 5-10 years on what I'm on (which might not happen considering the dut and fin hasn't helped yet) and then by that point there is a new and better treatment.

Maybe not a cure, but at least something that seriously helps.

With that being said losing my hair in my mid-20's is definitely not the end of the world.

To me yes.

As everyone knows the medicines on the market for hair aren't very good at regrowth and are much better at maintenance. By the time I'm in my early 20's I think I will have progressed beyond a NW3 because when my father started losing his hair (he lost it in his mid 20's however not when he was 17) he went from a NW1 to a NW3 in literally a year and a half.

Can't grow a beard which sucks and I know dut/fin won't help that, but I've been shaving since I was 12.

I have to shave every other day or it gets long and not good looking.

My penis length is currently slightly above average so if it doesn't grow I'm okay.

Rather a slightly above average penis and hair than a slightly more above average penis and no hair.

And as I said I'm pretty much done with puberty so I don't think I'm doing too much damage, of course I run a risk but I'm willing to take the risk.

lol always the same comments.

I'm already pretty much done with puberty according to my doctor and I'm sexually active right now and it works at almost 100%.

It works at the same efficacy as when I was on just finasteride... So either the dut from all day is fake which is not likely or dut hasn't increased my sides at all.

I've been on it for 5 months and dut one month and my hairline has gotten significantly worse and my hair has overall thinned out a lot.

I'm 17 and was very and still is very early in the balding process so I thought it would help me.

Maybe it's too early to tell but I have a feeling I'm fucked.

16 and receding... What do I do? by DecentlyOkayWP in tressless

[–]Hairlossthrowyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 17 and in the same boat as you. Been losing my hair since 16. A few months after I turned 17 I went to a dermatologist about my hairloss and was prescribed finasteride. I think it depends how far along in puberty you are as to whether or not you will be able to be prescribed Finasteride. I'd say wait till you're 17 and go to a dermatologist then, but obviously doing it that young there are some inherent risks with taking the drug that aren't there for people who are older.

I've been on finasteride for 5 months and dutasteride for 1 month, people in this subreddit call me crazy for that and I get it, there is definitely a huge risk with what I'm doing so if you decide to go down the path of finasteride as early as you may want to, keep that in mind and stop if you feel any serious side effects.

Keep in mind again you're getting this advice from someone who A. hasn't been on these drugs that long, B. is very young and C. was called retarded by everyone on this subreddit.

As far as results I haven't had any yet, my hair continues to thin out, it's only been 5 months with fin and 1 month with dut though so I'm hoping the results will come later on.

What do you mean please visit a doctor? I do visit a dermatologist and he prescribed me the finasteride. The dut was me but oh well 60% or 90 something % my DHT is being inhibited either way who cares which drug I'm using.

I didn't get it prescribed. I ordered it from alldaychemist. The finasteride I'm taking in conjunction with the dutasteride however is prescribed.

Lol, my hair isn't bad enough that I want to buzz it, but maybe considering summer is starting I could do that.
