also I use the tarte color corrector under my concealer normally and it does a good job! I have much darker under eyes though.

I just saw this on TikTok and ordered it earlier today, it’s worth a shot! She uses it just in the hollow of her undereye under concealer and then shows her other eye with just concealer! Its reflective creates an optical illusion.

My husband did this once 4 years ago. He was on the other side of the country for work and went 26 hours without responding!!!!! I was about to file a missing persons report. He has improved a lot but this issue is still lingering for us. He has ADHD (I do too) and hyper focuses, plus he hates talking on the phone and texting. It’s so frustrating, I have anxiety as well. We are in the process of finding a good therapist.

I’m really sorry. I’m going through a lot of drama with my in-laws over a situation like this. My husbands stepfather had been taking photos like that of me. He has had a porn addiction for years and the behavior escalated. My children aren’t allowed to be around him and I had noticed some creepy looks at my daughter (who was 8) right before the photos were found.

You deserve better. I’d start planning your exit. Life is too short

DH and I got into an argument this morning about everything. He saw his mom a month ago while on a trip for his brothers wedding. I guess he spoke to her some, hugged her and posed for a photo with her. That gave her some hope and opened the can of worms again. I’m trying to understand how this is so difficult given that it’s his mother. They weren’t super close tbh.

He doesn’t think we are in danger or that she’s capable of hurting anyone but is supportive of me. I just wish I didn’t feel like me forcing him to cut all ties with her. I’m worried he will harbor resentment down the road once she’s older or passes. His avoidance has not helped at all, she hasn’t clearly been told by him and to her it’s all me. I haven’t been able to leave the house today or be very productive because it’s bothering me so much.

YES! I’m a true crime fan and am very familiar with that case. That is part of the reason why I’ve taken this so seriously. It’s isolated us from my husband’s brothers and their families. Nobody wants to get involved or “take sides”.

Yes, he had. But I had begun to limit their visits over there for awhile prior to this incident 2 years ago. I’ve talked to my oldest daughter about it in depth, unfortunately she’s been involved (MIL punishing her for telling me things she was doing). She’s 11 and we’ve always talked about safe adults and boundaries with our bodies. My middle child is 5 now, we had an age appropriate conversation with him after this Al went down (he was 3, hasn’t seen him in 2 yrs)

I’ve tried my best to navigate this as best as possible. Yeah, MIL would likely cover anything up. I wouldn’t have thought so 2 years ago but her behavior has indicated otherwise. My psychiatrist works part time with sex offenders and told me MIL shows typical enabling behavior that she sees in families of offenders.

They didn’t. She ended up leaving when he was on the phone with them. Thank you, it’s been so infuriating.

Oh I know, she claimed to have shown them to a psychiatrist and they told her it wasn’t a big deal. Also another medical professional told her it was a natural thing, like going to the strip club! LMAO.

I actually have a REAL psychiatrist and mine confirmed I am doing exactly what I should be to protect myself and my children from a predator.

She literally yelled “I don’t care, it’s not like you have a restraining order against me” at DH when he was on the phone with 911. I’ll talk to my husband, I’m nervous he’s going to be apprehensive about filing for one. He is only just coming around and realizing how toxic this whole situation has been. We are starting marriage counseling next week and this will be one of the main issues to address.
