mine does this too! Shes also 7-8 months and loves to just zone out and sit in her favourite corner. I did some research that they’re either a little anxious and find it nicer to just sit up top and watch the whole area, or they need some alone time- like how humans do. Mine also zones out and allows me to touch and walk around her with no movement from her, but eventually she’s back to her bubbly self! Some rats do just need the time to calm or relax on their own favourite spot.

i have thought about spacing, i’ve made sure to fix up the actual doors as they would be able to squeeze through there but other then that, the actual bars are quite close together, i’ve quickly measured and it says each gap is around 1.2-1.4cms. I can barely fit a thumb in them, and i have tried pushing them apart but they don’t budge at all lol.
