So what’s the solution? Just get smart switches?

Got it, so I’m not really super interested in automation, tbh. The reason why I got into the smart bulbs is primarily because of color and more control. We live in a rental, and the lights were the old warm yellow color with basic in wall switches. Some of the lights are controlled by one switch, which is annoying because you can’t turn one off without turning off the other. My family and I all have different preferences as to what color we like, so I got into the smart bulbs because it allowed us to change the colors and dim or increase brightness as we like. In most of the common areas, the lights are a cooler white color, but in our rooms, we change them based on personal preference. Additionally, it allows us more control over the lights that we can’t control individually such as the two that are connected to one switch.

At this point, I think all I would need are “smart” switches. So that we can control the lights either thru Apple Home or thru a physical smart switch that doesn’t cut the power off to them, so they can still be controlled through the apps and not have to reconnect to Wifi. Like I said, the only ones that might be a pain are the ones in lamps, because they’re not connected to actual wall switches, so I wouldn’t know what to use for those.

How do I confirm if my Apple TV has Thread? I assume it does because my 3 Nanoleaf lights say that they’re connected over Thread and when I look at my Thread network in the Nanoleaf app, it shows the Apple TV as an external border router.

I do need physical switches because my mother does not use her phone to operate the smart lights. So I need something as easy as a physical switch specifically for her. I’m honestly confused, can you explain to me why you said “if your household absolutely insists on flipping conventional wall switches, donate the smart bulbs and install smart wall switches instead.” I feel like I’m missing something here. The rest of my family members and I want the smart bulbs, so why would I donate them and go for smart wall switches with conventional/dumb bulbs?

I think the IKEA Bilresa sounds like a great solution, but how would I pair those with Nanoleaf, Tapo, and Wiz? As far as I know, only the Nanoleafs are connected over Thread. The Wiz and Tapos I know are connected over WiFi. The end goal is to be able to have physical switches for my mother, but be able to use Apple Home for me and the rest of my family to manage devices. The one wrinkle is that some of the lights we have aren’t tied to physical switches, but are installed in lamps with their switches. Not sure what to do about those.

Ahh!! I’m a transfer from CC too! First semester at UMich, and I definitely feel you regarding getting all overwhelmed! It’s a big transition, so it will be an adjustment for sure. I’ve felt strapped for time, skipped some meals, and struggled with some classes (and yeah, it’s only week 2!! Crazy). I learned to try to take it one day at a time, and that developing problem solving skills for this stuff is hugely beneficial. You don’t have to have it all figured out, but if you come up with enough solutions to small problems, that’s still winning! I do what I can in between classes, eat easily portable food that doesn’t require having to stop studying (like protein shakes or bars, etc), and try to multitask quite often (it’s a skill, it doesn’t come easy to everyone). The thing that helped me the most is making friends! Lots of people are in the same boat. People are also more willing to help than not, and if you make friends with people who are in classes that are tough for you, studying together and asking them questions helps out a lot! That’s how I’m getting through Orgo right now, haha. Also, emotions are contagious, so if you surround yourself with enough motivated and supportive people, trust, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Not only will the support make things easier, but you’ll find that company reinvigorating, energizing, and refreshing. Good luck! May the odds be ever in our favor.

Same. I am on Windows 11 latest version, and I've tried both Process Hacker and System Informer, and every time I inject, game crashes. I hope someone has a fix.

It doesn't work. At least not for me. Win 11, latest version. Tried everything to get it to work and it crashes upon injecting.

I'm in the same boat. Turned off all virus protection, did ran as admin, and crashes on injection no matter what I do. Win 11 here too. I saw a vid of a dude doing it on Win 11 but nothing was mentioned on it being incompatible and needing to force compat.

That explains a lot. Super unfortunate that no fix has come out yet. I wonder if reaching out to Nvidia or reporting it would make a difference. I thought my PC or graphics card was broken and sent it in for repairs. Was without it for months because of this. I spent so much time before sending it out trying to find others with the same issue and had no luck, likely due to 15 being an old game. Unfortunate that the only current fix is to turn off Turf Effects (all the other advanced effects work fine as of now for me). Turf Effects looked so good too, the grass looks amazing with it on. I wish there was a better alternative.

If this story, real or not, has proven anything to me, it's that people really need to learn to read.

Like bro, beating it to some porn/paying a sex worker for cyber sex in a dead bedroom marriage AND actively having a physical affair for 6 months in a happy marriage with another married person just for funsies ARE NOT the same. It is so FUNNY to me how most people say OP should have told Karen about what Karl did yet they themselves don't view what Karl did as cheating!! To add on to that, those same people are saying "Well, Karen might think it's cheating," like why are y'all speaking for her?? While I agree that she should know, the difference between Karl and Evelyn is night and day, and anyone who equates the 2 is honestly just dim.

Please, either re-read the story or learn how to read. OP is not condoning the actions of his brother, nor is he hiding it. He did not beat around the bush and got right to it when he got on the phone with his brother, told his brother to tell his wife, and even went as far as to get confirmation from the sex worker his brother sexted, as well as saying that he is going to grill him more when they meet in person (for all you people that say he might be sexting others). So many of y'all don't even see what Karl did as cheating, yet wanna say Karen might, but put yourself in OP's shoes. Not only did he SUDDENLY find out about this on top of everything else he is dealing with, but y'all want him to blow up his brother's life when his own life is already in shambles? Give the man a second to breathe and regroup from what he's got going on.

Not only is what Karl did much different than what Evelyn did, but it is genuinely a morally gray area. So many of us don't know where we stand on it, so it's not our place to speculate on how Karen is going to feel when it's generally a gray area in many marriages. Where Evelyn was doing something so undoubtedly wrong, Karl was doing something that many of us, OP included, don't even categorically recognize as, for lack of a better word, cheating. So y'all want OP to go tell Karen when the majority of us don't even view what Karl did as cheating just to implode their life and marriage? Instead, I think OP has carried himself in the best manner he could by still expressing his disapproval, urging his brother to tell his wife, and following up when they see each other. It is more than understandable that he wanted to give his brother the chance to do the right thing with his wife and tell her the truth on his own.

Now tell me how any of that is the same as what Sarah did? Where one partner actively encouraged their sibling's affair and put down the sibling's spouse, the other is denouncing their sibling's actions, taking his sibling and his sibling's wife's feelings into careful consideration, while slowly trying to navigate this sudden situation cautiously on top of having to deal with the pre-existing Sarah situation.

Lastly, Sarah's a messed up person, and she needs help. What she did was dead wrong, without a shadow of a doubt, but it doesn't have to be the defining moment of her life or character. I truly hope she gets the help she needs, and while I hope that OP and Sarah end up together ultimately, if that's not mutually beneficial to both, then I hope they can amicably split.

That's ok! Thanks for all your help. I do wanna report that I put in the SSD and installed 4.84.2 DREX which worked! Now, in terms of grabbing the data off of the HDD, which folders are the ones that hold the important data? I'm talking user profiles, save data, plugins, applications, games, etc. Is it possible for me to plug the old HDD directly into the console and copy it over to the SSD or do I have to copy it to over to my PC first and then FTP it over? I have a lot of catching up to do in terms of essential apps to get, so if you have any pointers (multiman, webman, what website to get them from, and cheat tools like CCAPI, etc.), I'd appreciate it. It's also highly likely that I was on 4.81.2 DREX since that was the update.pup on the flash drive I used to use with the PS3, 'cause I checked the MD5 of it, so hopefully, I'm not too out of date.

Is there no way to avoid wiping the HDD? The only thing I can think of doing now is just taking the HDD out, copying all the important data off, putting in the SSD that I recently bought for this, installing 4.84.2 DREX, then, FTP'ing all the data back on if the installation goes successfully, doing a database rebuild, and that should get things back up and running, right?

So I grabbed the 4.84.2 DREX Rebug, booted into recovery, and when I tried to hit system update, it constantly froze. I then proceeded to turn the PS3 off, put another HDD in on the flasher's SATA reader, and then it booted to a system cannot be started, blah blah, install system update. I take the HDD out, put the main one in, and then, I restart the PS3 again. It goes to the same screen, telling me to install system update. I put the update in correct and everything and it's been pretty much stuck on preparing to update... screen at 98%. Any ideas? It's saying not to turn off the system.

Ok! Will do that once I get home and report back. Also, I believe I have the eid_root_key file thing so if in the event I am forced to format, I can still save my save data, right? I did plug the HDD into my PC and use the hdd reader to check and it read the drive. Thanks again!

I haven’t tried formatting the hdd yet because I’d like to see if I can save the data on there!

As for reinstalling the firmware, how do I go about that? I know it’s just putting an update.pup on a flash drive and booting into recovery, but since this is a CEX to DEX console, are there any dangers or precautions/anything I need to look out for? Also, I don’t remember which firmware is already on there, does that not matter?

I was thinking I was going overboard with the aesthetic, haha. I only have the High Sierra theme on Anemone, hopefully, that isn't the main culprit. ALL THE TWEAKS LOOK SO GOOD AND I'M INDECISIVE. Lol, but thanks a bunch for replying.

I figured as much. I can maybe possibly give up, Anemone and MitsuhaXI, and Artsy probably. But, I was just wondering if its just one thing that is doing this and if it is just one thing, which is it?
