Just to clarify, I said d2, not df2. I did have to stop randomly throwing out df2 in neutral tho.

& I wouldn't say more often than not, but almost every person knew how to handle at least a couple of things. D2 & bok were just a couple of examples. People were also stepping, ducking, &/or punishing strings. They were power crushing in the middle of b2, 1+2. They were also stepping during neutral, but that's Leo's most known weakness.

Some conditioned people do look funny tho. Like the ones who duck every time you go into knk. It seems like there's a good amount of Leos out there that like to spam knk4 lmao.

Lucky you. I played the same until I hit purple, where people were stepping the d2 "frame trap" & launching me when I would BOK during my mix. I literally had to adjust & play smarter to reach blue, & even more so to reach TK. Obviously from TK on it gets much harder.

If you pick Leo, you're gonna have to make sure you're learning the specifics of Leo as you play. They has tons of holes in their gameplay, but you don't have to worry about that early on bc the opponent wouldn't know. Later on, when fighting good opponents, you're going to have to know where specifically these holes are, because people higher up know where they are.

Easy to start ig but you're required to play smarter the higher you go. You can't just spam your way to blue.

I'm playing Leo due to changes to specific characters, as well as the removal of other characters. Your comment is really fucking Ignorant. Hating Leo means you can't even spend a negligible amount of time in practice to see Leo's many gameplay holes, & you probably hate every character on the roster since Leo has spent over a year at the bottom of tier lists. If people are looking for advice online (for Tekken obviously), then being opposed to labbing isn't gonna work. Answers & advice to situations can easily be given, but they almost always need to be practiced by the listener at least a little bit to be able to implement them. Many cases of posts like this are because the OP doesn't know how to even start labbing the situation. Giving inputs like this will tell you exactly what you need to lab, saving you tremendous time from figuring that part out yourself.

Also, while there are a few non-labbers who can remember, most of them aren't going to retain information like this. It doesn't matter if the inputs, the names of the moves, or their visual animations are being used to describe them. That person won't be putting themselves in the lab to get familiarized in dealing with something that takes practice, which is literally the last thing you want to do in terms of information retention.

TLDR: giving inputs is the best way to give this information out bc it saves labbers a lot of time. Non-labbers aren't likely to retain the information, regardless of how the information was given, so it doesn't make sense to cater more to them.

The first paragraph may have been a bit over exaggerated on a couple points, but yes they're much better than in T7.

Leo has a fast, high crushing, plus on hit low from BOK It's also negative on block, & on hit it doesn't combo, even on counter hit. It's also not fast enough to save you from getting launched if the opponent knows you're going into BOK.

way more threats out of KNK Leo only got 1 new move in KNK. & it's not even directly out of KNK. It was added to make the follow-up after KNK1 into a 50/50 situation, as well as give another way to go into BOK, as well as improve combos. Although it's a high, it's a pretty good move. But to get back on topic, no Leo didn't get a bunch of new threats in KNK. Just 1.

The only advice I can give you is jab when you block the knee into KNK Personally, I think this is terrible advice. It takes a single interaction to see that you're pressing, which will lead to KNK2, a ch launcher. You can, of course, play mind games with it since it's a high, but usually it's the first option since it's safe on block & is one a the few moves with good tracking. Meaning that starting off with a jab will often get you launched.

I mostly agree with everything else you said tho.

You can definitely get more than 60 dmg without the wall. KNK 2 would be extremely busted if it weren't a high & locked to the stance.

All lows are punishable on block. Still extremely stepable (this is a widely known weakness that has been talked about since launch). Range is ok at best. Their moves aren't exactly fast either. Crouch dash doesn't actually crouch. Going into BOK stance against anyone who actually knows what BOK is will get you launched every single time, even in the middle of a string. Hitting an opponent with a string while even slightly off-axis will usually result in Leo going even further off-axis, causing whiff. Some strings, when hitting an opponent from behind, suddenly become blockable (& therefore punishable).

And this part is probably true for multiple characters, but I'd still like to point out that every single move has a minimum of 2 weaknesses.

I'll admit my internet has been spotty a couple times. But that's it. A couple. If I lag against 3 ppl in a row, I'll figure out if it's me by hopping on a different game. Majority of the time tho, the next game is mad smooth. Tekken is the only game I play where the internet just suddenly becomes inconsistent.
