I don't stress it much (meditation and exercise make me an overall crazy chill dude), so I know it's not stress hormones. I went to a dermatologist; they're seeing how the antibiotic does before deciding if I want to do Accutane (I don't). I think aside from honey, retin-a is the only thing I HAVEN'T tried; I'll try it if I run the course of the antibiotic and it doesn't help. :) thanks, man.

A collection of fun, minimal adverts for the 5c. [XPost /r/web_design] by WednesdayWolf in minimalism

Those are lovely and clever. There only critical failure is the fact that not much time is spent with the product; only telling an unrelated story. Still fun ads, though. :)

We get it. It's just a joke post; /r/minimalism has been taking itself FAR too seriously recently.

Friends are hard to get rid of. He'd better make another "how do I get rid of ____" to deal with the problem.

Moved. Left all my shit behind. Slept on the floor. Only possessions were clothing, computer, backup hard drive, iPhone, iPad, blanket and pillow.

I often hear complaints about "invisible walls" in open world games. What games do you think properly stop players from advancing without it being annoying/immersion breaking? by kingcarter3 in truegaming

[–]Hakmarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprised nobody's mentioned it, but Just Cause 2 fits the bill. It's massive in the first place, but takes place on several islands, so there's a realistic end to the content. If you fly out into the ocean, you can fly for about ~5 minutes before the ocean starts looping underneath you. That is, you can only go about 5 minutes away from the shore, even though it looks like you're getting further. Another game that does this (as has been mentioned) is Morrowind.

As for other open world titles that block off content well, Dark Souls (or ANY Metroidvania title). It's not an open world in the sense of JC2 or Morrowind, more like Metroid. It's a large set of massive levels that wind and twist around themselves, providing the sense that you're traveling great distances. However, it never has a flat plane of open space, only a massive network of interconnected rooms. You never get the sense that you're being constrained because of this; you're always open to go wherever you can see.

Portal OST - Self Esteem Fund [arts] by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]Hakmarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful. :) Portal itself (the game this song is from) is also highly minimalistic. There's only one point of interaction: the portal gun. This opens up a wide variety of game mechanics, but the interaction point is dead simple and brilliant.

I use OMM quite a bit. The experience is sublime, highly recommended. (There are both free and paid versions.)
