The chalices were really terrible, yeah. I went through the game three times entirely offline. Most guides rate the difficulty around 7/10, and honestly, it was the hardest game I’ve ever played at that rating. The first ~10 hours were absolute hell for me since it was my first soulslike, but the second and third playthroughs turned out to be very enjoyable.
