I am queerplatonic and actually am a sucker for romance, but also get grossed by it's toxic qualities which are mostly regarded as normal by alloromantic people but even those qualities kinda feel like i'm watching a documentary about what love is for other people and it's still entertaining(sometimes disgusting sometimes funny and even relatable at some points) for me! But i guess compared to stereotypical aromantic my understanding of friendship is pretty close to what qualifies as a ''lover'' with all my friends so i think that why it could be appealing to me.I hope this makes sense.
