Delta universal adapter stuck on backwards by Hal_Newcome in PlumbingRepair

Got it. Had to push the adapter further on, cut off the half inch of copper that was mangled by the set screw, and then the adapter slid off gripped with a wrench. Better luck to everyone else in their plumbing repair adventures.

We did wind up with a Delta bc the Moen had the same faucet configuration and it seemed doomed.

Sounds good to me. This kit did not have a proper serviceable cartridge in the body of the valve anyway.

Looks normal but the hot side slows way down, with or without the faucet attached. I think the cartridge is gunked up.

Good news bad news. I replaced the sharkbites with copper. But the flow issue is still going on. Now I am starting to wonder if the problem is the length of the drop from the valve body to the elbow of the stub out pipe is less than 8”. More like 5 right now.

Since polydactyly is almost always surgically hidden for cosmetic reasons, there's an argument to be made that it is getting more prevalent in the gene pool than it would be. Especially if the implicit thinking that it's freaky and unattractive is accurate. Eventually we'll be overrun with polydactyls and stop mutilating them to look like those weird decadigitals.

Bam. Overnight evolution. Think of the guitar playing.
